Ghostbat AU where Bruce and khoa were art students and had a relationship but then Bruce decided not to pursue a career in art and they had a fight over it and broke up.

Years later Bruce is now working as a teacher and everyone of his kids have flown the nest and he’s trying to cope with it. And then in comes minhkhoa khan with a successful career in art to the point of being bored of it and he just so happens to be setting up a gallery in Bruce’s home town. Khoa annoys Bruce into working with him on art again. And they both help each other rediscover their past passion for art while hanging out together.

A part of me thinks that Ras al ghul didn’t pick Khoa as his heir because he’d turn the league of assassins into lookin like a dang Apple Store given the chance. Minimalistic look with white walls fkn everywhere. And cybernetic ninjas probably. Which admittedly would be pretty cool. Alas Ras is too attached to his old man aesthetic the likes of which only Bruce can match in terms of old nick knacks and gothic decor.

That being said I think we should give it a go. if for nothing else than the mental image of Khoa doing a design overhaul on the league of assassins base with ras in the corner sipping on a cup of tea as he watches with a steadily increasing sense of dread as Khoa puts more and more of his antique items into the throw away pile.

I love when Khoa just states the weirdest most obsessive behavior ever as if it was completely normal. Like yeah I got a giant spinosaurus to one up the giant t-rex in the batcave. Cool huh?

And Harley a former psychiatrist just has to stand there like

I’ve been listening to old Superman audio adventures featuring Batman and robin

and istg Clark will just show up and in Bruce’s home with ploys and plans and Bruce will just go along with it

Which is pretty standard procedure as far as stories go but but it’s in such a casually confused way of almost never being told the full picture or plan by Clark til the end of the story. So he’s just getting dragged along in mild confusion as Clark tells him to wear a costume or stand over there or go give a speech. And Bruce just has to improvise and go along with it. I mean he’ll usually deduce wtf Clark is going for but it’s so funny that time after time Clark will simple grab Bruce and put him the midst of his weekly shenanigans and just trust that he’ll help him solve it.

I think Talia should’ve been out getting her phd while khoa and Bruce were being trained by ras at Lazarus. She was underutilized in that comic and I prefer the way they originally met anyway. Also it would be funny.

Imagine the phone calls from her dad where he’s essentially giving her the latest gossip about the going ons at home and oh he’s currently training these two rambunctious young men and they’re around her age too! and he says they seem very promising. And she’ll be like that’s nice dad I gotta get back to studying.

Then Bruce burns the place down and ras calls her like, Talia your never gonna believe what happened.

Then Talia meets this nice costumed vigilante years later and brings him to her home and is like, look dad this is the guy I like :D

I imagine it would be a very awkward dinner with lots of passive aggressive comments like

“so… burn any bases down recently?”

“Idk launch any missilles lately?”

And Talia who had already kinda suspected this might’ve been the guy who burnt down her dads missile project. but she really likes the guy. and she’s always been a bit iffy on the whole launching missiles at people bit, would have to sit there between them like: …this is going better than I expected.
