did you know in two days, it will be my fifth year of my special interest in Greninja? Time flies really fast, it seems!
Calling it now, but if/when Greninja gets a Mega Evolution in Legends: Z-A it’s stat spread will be identical to that of Ash-Greninja./j
Disclaimer: in my Pokéverse, Alola happens before Kalos (and follows more of the game plot than the anime); Kalos happens when Sacha/Satoshi is in his early 20’s. He gets pretty shaken up by what happened with Lysandre.

You've been sensing a strange presence within the dark trees for a while now. You know that it's a Pokémon. Yet you get the feeling that this Pokémon may have less than savory intentions.
Shadows haunt. Shadows stalk.
That growing unease becomes more prominent the longer you walk down these dark paths. This unknown creature is still stalking your every move, you don't know when to expect it. But it knows.
Shadows move. Shadows stalk.
You think to yourself, how much longer will this unknown creature watch you before it moves. The trees rustle. Are you breathing heavily? Try not to panic.
Shadows jumped. Shadows stalk.
The rustling grew louder. And louder. Suddenly you can't hear it anymore, the noises get overshadowed by your pounding heart. On instinct, you started running.
Shadows ran. Shadows stalk.
The rustling of the trees followed you, every step you take, the creature follows. You don't know where you're going. You have no idea where you're going.
You tripped.
You fall.
You scurry away.
You crawled away.
Until…

Shadows protect. Shadows meant no harm.
It's your Greninja. It watched over you the entire walk back. It seemed to have noticed that another Pokémon was following you, and decided to follow you as well to jump and swerve that Pokémon away from you.
The shadows. They're just your friend.
Your very loyal friend.
Greninja is everyone's favorite frog, right ? :)
