Lewis, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader This photo was taken on our recent college trip driving down central California where the almond trees were in bloom. The whole ride everyone laughed because I kept opening the window to soak in the honey-vanilla sweet gentle scent. My car was full of teen boys and so it was a nice break. 😄But they all know I will want to stop on a long drive to see these beauties. I’ll take you on the way through them on my next post. To me, these trees are so magical. Like Cinderella’s glass slipper or Pegasus’ wings. I’m so glad I stopped for this moment before we returned home. I’ve been off line a bit due to my father being in hospital and helping with lots of medical issues. This morning I’m pretty exhausted. Yet the gentle memory of those pretty moments carries me. Reminds me that today’s trials aren’t what I’m made of. I’m from another place. I miss the words, as many of you in #writerslife #writingcommunity will attest, when you’re distant from them it wears on you. My next novel has a star that’s actually a character and I’ve loved this inspiring quote from C.S. Lewis thinking of stars and hope and deeper meaning. How do you dress a star?
