What type of gem is this really?

I was thinking of having Calcite modify a series of gems based off of the Mox Gem cards in MTG. By setting a common gem in precious metal, it acts as a sort of upgrade. Ruby, Jet, Emerald, Sapphire, Pearl, Opal and even Diamond are eligible for it. It boosts elemental affinity to the point that even a pearl's a threat by using her hologram projecting as a beam attack. Anyone want to pilot one of them? The procedure can also be done on other gems.

Cool gem oc idea:

Okay so you know those posts with the crystals with the two gems fused together (for example: amethyst with rose quartz)?? Take one of those (it's easy just go to a gemstone blog you'll probably find one) and make a gemsona! Like Rutile, they'll probably have double features (eyes, legs, arms, ect). Have fun.

it’ll be nice if someone did a gemsona of black opal that is heavily inspired by australian indigenous culture. i mean since black opal is australian might as well do a gemsona based off our traditional custodians of the land.

Gemsona help

I decided making my own gemsona squad based on my best friends, and I have a general idea for each character, but I can't find a fitting gem, so i thought I might ask you guys for help. Gem 1- my best friend. Shes the intelligent one in our group, but she can fight pretty nice too. and cares about pepole she has long hair with blue waves in it (which means her gem need some kind of bluish color). It's placed on her forehead. I'm thinking of making her some kind of architect or designer back on homeworld. Male gem 1- a quartz solider. Big and strong, his gem is on his shoulder. he wields a great sword and has a short haircut. Will probably be in some kind of romantic relationship with male gem 2. Male gem 2- a smart but shy technician with curly hair. He cares a lot about the people around him and is pretty silent. His gem is on his belly, like Rose's/ Steven's. I'm thinking of making him green? Also I think his gem is going to be a- symmetrical and he ran away to not be poofed. And finally, me! I am a creative and caring gem, although I can be kind of bitchy sometimes. My hair is wrapped in a high ponytail, and my gem is on my chest, where amethyst's is. That all I no about them, please give me ideas and feedback!
