hey, jsyk, race-specific genders are actual historical identities. there's a lot of ethnic communities that have had nb gender descriptors over the centuries. nobody makes up new race-specific genders, they all already exist and were created by people of those fucking races.

A lot of these “race-specific genders” that you may be referencing are quite often actually used as homophobic/transphobic terms for gay men and women, trans men and women, and additionally GNC people. The “race-specific genders” on Tumblr, such as “boi”, “qirl”, or “genderhu”. Do you think that gender identities “similar to [boy and girl] but separate from the western way of viewing genders” has been around over centuries, or made up by someone on Tumblr? What about a gender with a “musical feel that feels like a ribbon floating down from the sky”? Do you think that sounds like someone “created” centuries ago? Or do you think that it’s a term created by 2016 Tumblr?
