Found another one of mom’s old tapes today. I can finally confirm WHICH version of this song I’m used to!
The thing about old tapes and music on spotify is with some of these older songs there were several different versions. And with compilations they sometimes were inexplicably different than the album and single cuts!
I just spent the better part of an hour looking for the “right” version of this, playing from the tape and going back and forth.
You would think the the album cut would be it, but NOPE not on the compilation I have. The guitar (or is that a Bass?) is my favorite part and you couldn’t even hear it in some of the others, he also says ‘chere for here and I KNEW I wasn’t imagining it. I knew it had to BE THERE.
