Yesterday I realized that there’s a character in KOTOR named Forn Dodonna.
And in the SWTOR smuggler story.. there’s Senator Dodonna.
After consulting the wiki, they aren’t related, so I guess this is just a cool Easter egg (which would make sense when you think about General Dodonna in the movies!)

Cid is a character who is present in almost every FF title. This name is of arabic origin, meaning “lord” or “master”. Pictured above is the artwork of various Cids in the series by Yoshitaka Amano.
A character in Star Wars: Phantom Menace is named Cid Rushing (pictured) as a response to FF series naming several of their characters after Star Wars characters (most notably Biggs, Wedge and Martine, who in some versions of FFVIII is called Dodonna).
