Our Generation - Dawning of the Day
Generation Records
1971
Generation Records (New York City)
Recently acquired. At Generation Records for $10. Agonizingly earnest Sweeny and sincere collection of songs by Sir George. It seems like a concept album to one lady, but I’d have to listen to it a few more times and it research it, but either way, it holds together like one piece with different songs mixed is and it’s lush with melodies and harmonies and beautiful instrumentation. Best Beatle.
Our Generation - Praise and Prayer
Generation Records
1972
Recently acquired at Generation Records for $2. It’s a little scratchy, but it sounds just right. I live all the heavy tremolo etc in the psychedelic stretches. The songs I didn’t know are pretty good too. But Hanky Panky sucks. I’ve always wanted this best of. Maybe I’ll get a whole album now….
After a very rough week, took a train to New York City for the weekend to escape. Now I'm back and sitting here waiting for the Zantac to kick in because I don't know when to stop. I ate pizza for breakfast, and all the good food NYC has to offer. Then I get home tonight and pour myself as huge bowl of shredded wheat with soy milk and half a honeycomb of honey. As if that's not enough, I top it with a handful of moist raisins oozing their sugar.
Season 2 of the rough week continues tomorrow. Goodnight.
Here’s where to get that sweet new vinyl.
1. Generation Records
2. Black Gold
3. Brooklyn Record Exchange
