デッキに4枚までしか入れられない、強力なガード能力を持つ“守護者”に、新たなユニットが参戦!!
12月5日(金)発売の『時空超越』に収録されている5クランに登場する、新世代の“守護者”をご紹介しよう。
手札を1枚捨てて、ヒットされなくする能力は、これまでの「完全ガード」と同じ。
しかしこの「スチームメイデン アルリム」は、ドロップゾーンに同名ユニットがあれば、ダメージゾーンを1枚表にすることができるぞ。
その代わり、タイミングは「手札から登場した時」に限られ、ガード対象もヴァンガードのみなので注意が必要だ。
ガード対象を最小限に絞り、カウンターブラストを使った攻撃につなげるための、いわば“攻めの守護者”と言えるだろう。
たとえば「宝石騎士」などのカード名が必要だったり、すばやくレギオンにつなげたり、という場合は、これまでの完全ガードやクインテットウォールも視野に入れてデッキを構築して欲しい。
なお、ドロップゾーンに同名ユニットがいない状態で登場し、コストとして同名ユニットを捨てた場合、ダメージゾーンを表に戻すことが可能だ。覚えておこう。

【ユニット設定】
突如クレイに現れた謎の武装集団“ギアクロニクル”の一員。
主に時空修復が必要な箇所の探索を行う調査員の一人。
どこかの世界の物語で見たという探偵に憧れており、何か事柄を理解する度に「謎は解けました！」と言うのが癖になっている。
種族としては「ヒューマン」に属するが、筋繊維の一部など、器官の数か所を機械化している為、一般におけるそれよりもはるかに高い身体能力を有する。
彼女が所持する「タイムエンジン」搭載型シールド「ディストーション・D」は、盾の前にある薄皮一枚ほどの薄く広い次元を歪曲させ、接触したもののエネルギーの流れをせき止めるという、所謂バリアに近い能力を持つ。
つまり、この歪んだ次元に接触すると、高速で飛んできた銃弾などは、動く為に必要なエネルギーを削がれるので止まってしまう、という訳である。
A new kind of Unit enters the fray of the Sentinels, cards with abilities so powerful that you can't have more than 4 of them in your Deck!! The 5 clans in "Generation Stride" (which comes out December 5th, 2014) are introduced with "Sentinels" that fit this new generation.
These units are just like Perfect Guards in that you can discard 1 card from your hand to prevent a hit. However, this "Steam Maiden, Alulim", if there's a Unit with the same name is in your Drop Zone, you can flip a card in your Damage Zone face-up. But, this timing is limited to "When it appears from your hand", and be careful because it only guards the Vanguard. While what you can guard has been extremely minimized, it can help set up for counter offensives by letting you Counter Blast, so you can say it's basically an "Offensively Minded Sentinel".
However, if you need card names such as "Jewel Knight" or you want a high speed Legion, it's probably best that you build a Deck with conventional Perfect Guards and Quintet Walls. Also, it should be noted, if it appears while there's no Unit with the same name in the Drop Zone, if you discard a copy with the same name as the cost, you *can* flip one of your face-down Damage Zone cards face-up. Please remember that. The Sentinels of the new generation, "Perfect Guard G"! Try and get your hands on them.
[Unit Lore]
A member of the mysterious militia "Gear Chronicle" that suddenly appeared on Cray.
She is one of the investigators who searches for areas in need of repair to the local space-time continuum. She admires a detective she saw in a story from another world, such that whenever she figures things out, she's prone to saying "I've solved the mystery!". Racially, she's a human, but some of her muscle fibers and several of her organs have been mechanized, resulting in her having a higher physical strength than usual. The shield she carries, "Distortion D" (which is a shield armed with a Time Engine), can distort a thin, wide area in front of the shield that's about one sheet thick, but any energy that flows towards and hits this 'so-called' barrier is brought to a halt. In other words, when anything comes in contact with this distorted dimension, such as high speed bullets, has its energy drained away, causing them to stop (and in the bullets' case, fall to the ground).
