Iron Patriot / Rescue

Dr. Toni Ho

Powers: None. Genius level intellect and expert engineer. Weaponry provided through an Iron Man like armour.

Moving to Seattle in the 70′s Toni’s mother fell in love with and later married a medical researcher called Ho Yinsen. After the marriage fell apart, Yinsen moved back to Timbetpal and kept in touch with Toni via letters and phone calls. At 11 years old Toni lost her father when he died saving Tony Stark’s life. Resenting Stark for not doing more to save her father she vowed to be be better than him.

After highschool Toni attended Caltech and overlapped her studies to receive three doctorates. After it re-branded to the Avengers Idea Mechanics she joined A.I.M., working for its engineering division.

Toni took a particular interest in the New Avenger Aikku Jokinen who’s body was merged with an intelligent suit of armour named Pod. When Maker attacked .A.I.M.s Avenger Base Two he seemingly killed Pod with Toni surviving using a personal force field and attacking intruders with her own Rescue armour. Aikku then emerged from the wreckage in the armour’s undersuit devastated at the loss of Pod. Toni helped Aikku control the power set of the Pod’s undersuit and the two eventually shared a kiss after confessing their feelings for each other.

Toni later joined the U.S. Avengers as the new Iron Patriot before deciding to stop wearing or making suits due to the research consuming her and blurring the line between non-lethal and lethal weaponry.

Prodigy

David Alleyne

Powers: Psychomimetic powers allowing him to mimic skills and knowledge from nearby targets granting him super genius intelligence.

After discovering he was a mutant at School David kept this to himself instead using his powers to excel through School, even taking college level courses. Whilst working at the University library he was outed by the mutant hate group Purity and was recruited by Danielle Moonstar to join her New Mutants Training Squad at Xaviers Institute. Given the codename Prodigy, David was soon appointed the team leader.

In the wake of M-Day David lost his powers but the Stepford Cuckoos later restored all memories he had previously gained. With his restored knowledge he was made a junior teacher to New X-Men and even protected the students when the Hulk was attacking the School.

Recently David tracked down the Young Avengers and joined them to rescue Speed who had been abducted by Patriot. After following Patriot across the Multiverse they helped to defeat Mother and rescued Speed. Prodigy also revealed his feelings for Hulkling and bisexuality.

Thanos

Powers: Superhuman intelligence, strength, speed, stamina, near invulnerability, immortality, reflexes and abilities of healing and energy manipulation / control.

Born on Titan, Thanos was one of the last sons of A’Lars. Born with purple, hid-like skin and a massive body due to his Deviant Syndrome, his mother was driven mad and tried to kill him upon laying eyes on the baby.

As a teenager, Thanos excelled academically and began to dissect creatures in secret to gain knowledge, whilst also searching for answers to his abnormal genetic make up. Spurred on by a mysterious girl, his search for answers escalated into killing fellow Titanians, the first murders in the history of Titan. After murdering seventeen people he killed his Mother in the hopes of finding the key to who he was.

After leaving Titan he travelled the Universe mating with many partners and leaving them before the child was born. After embracing his murderous nature Thanos returned to Titan. Approached by the mysterious girl who had become a confidante, he tried to court her when she demanded that Thanos prove that he only belonged to her. Embarking on a journey to kill all of his offspring he razed every planet they stumbled upon. Revealing herself to be the physical manifestation of Death, the confidante drove Thanos mad as he gave into Death’s promise of romance. he then destroyed Titan, murdering all survivors, including his father, A’Lars.

In his quest for power Thanos was turned to stone by Warlock. After being resurrected by Death Thanos began a hunt for the Infinity Gems, having gazed into the Infinity well and discovered their true power. He retrieved the green soul gem from the In-Betweener, the red power gem from the Champion, the orange time gem from the Gardener, the purple space gem from the Runner, the yellow reality gem from the Collector and the blue mind gem from the Grandmaster. Putting them all together Thanos created the Infinity Gauntlet granting him mastery over all that is.

To appease Death, Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half of the Universe’s population. As many heroes assembled to stop Thanos he overlooked Nebula who was able to wrestled the Infinity Gauntlet off his hand. Her first act was to reverse what had been done and return all of the heroes who had been trapped in the soul gem. The battle resumed until Adam Warlock ended up with the Gauntlet and ended the conflict.

Ebony Maw

Powers: Genius level intellect with the ability of persuasion, being able to coax peoples thought processes into serving his own goals with nothing but his words.

A member of Thanos’ Black Order, Ebony maw was dispatched to deal with Doctor Strange when Thanos targeted Earth as the next planet he would raze. He used his abilities to gain control of Doctor Strange and forced him to summon Shuma-Gorath and to serve as a double agent.

When the Illuminati headed to numerous locations around the world to find Thanos' son, Doctor Strange found the boy in a hidden Inhuman town in Greenland. Ebony remained in the location and forced Strange to forget about the discovery, and to leave, now freed from Maw's control.  After Black Bolt detonated a Terrigen Bomb which unleashed a compound close to the Terrigen Mists upon the entire face of Earth, Thanos's son, Thane, underwent Terrigenesis. The manifestation of his powers annihilated the entire town. Posing as an ally, Maw offered Thane a suit to control his powers, but also captured him in a containment field and alerted Thanos to the location of his son.

When the Avengers arrived to defeat Thanos, Ebony Maw tested Thane by freeing him. Thane could escape, or could fight Thanos and become what he had avoided his entire life. The boy agreed and embraced his true nature as the son of Thanos by fighting his father. Using the power of his right hand, Thane trapped Thanos and his ally Proxima Midnight in an amber construct which left them in a state of "living death." Upon the defeat of Thanos, Ebony Maw started disciplining Thane into becoming something greater than Thanos.

Ironheart

Riri Williams

Powers: No superhuman powers. Weaponry provided through an Iron Man like armour. Super genius intelligence.

Riri Williams was born shortly after her father died and grew up together with her sister Sharon and their mother in Chicago, Illinois. When she was five years old, Riri's behavioral problems led her mother and her step-father to have her undergo tests that resulted in Riri being certified a super genius.

After reverse-engineering technology from the outdated Iron Man Armour Model 41, Riri started creating her own prototype version of the Iron Man Armour, using mainly stolen material from campus. When security caught notice of her suspicious activities, Riri was prompted to don the suit of armour and fly away. After flying around the country trying to get the hang of her suit's flying capabilities, Riri intercepted a couple of inmates escaping from the New Mexico State Penitentiary. She managed to stop the speeding truck they were using as a escape vehicle, but at the cost of her armour's integrity.

Riri eventually returned to her house to keep working on her suit, much to her mother's dismay. After learning of Riri's accomplishment, Tony Stark visited her and decided to endorse Riri's desire to become a super hero. Using a repaired version of her armour, Riri later assisted Iron Man during the second superhero Civil War, fighting against the forces of Captain Marvel. In the end of the civil war, Tony Stark fell into a coma fighting Captain Marvel so Riri decided to continue his legacy as a hero. With the guidance of a A.I. duplicate of Stark, Riri created a new much better suit of armour, and took up the alias of Ironheart.

Leo Fitz

Powers: No powers- S.H.I.E.L.D. engineer/gagdeteer with a genius level intellect.

Leo Fitz was one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. field agents who formed part of Phil Coulson's team to investigate how the terrorist Abu Mussan got hold of an Uru sword. Fitz helped Heimdall (the owner of the Uru sword) break free from Mussan's terrorist group. When Heimdall revealed to have been possessed by an alien rock encrusted in his chest, Coulson ordered Fitz to get the Vision, so the android could sneak up on Heimdall and remove the alien rock. After Heimdall was dispossessed from the influence of an alien rock, and Jemma Simmons recovered fragments of it, Fitz began investigating it on the Helicarrier.

Some time later, Fitz was assigned by Coulson go undercover as a triple agent against the Department of Defense's General Strakovsky. After giving Agents the wrong location for the Quantum Drive he was quickly found out to be a Mole by Elektra. He escaped the airbase by using an teleportation device and joined former Agent Coulson. When Elektra and Coulson's former subordinates apprehended them, Fitz was able to flee with Quake in Lola. After Maria Hill decided to cut Coulson loose, he resorted to Leo and Quake to bring General Strakovsky to justice. Fitz visited the General, and managed to get a confession out of him that he was planning to illegally sell weapons to Russia. Following Strakovsky's arrest, Fitz was reinstated as an agent together with Coulson and Quake.
