Teaching

So many classes in the next week: Organic vinyasa tomorrow, yin yang fusion sunday(my birthday), gentle flow Monday, yoga at the juvenile detention center on Wednesday, yoga at the rehab and my teen class on Thursday, organic vinyasa and hip hop yoga next Saturday... Holy shit. I don't even know how this happened

Yoga: Day 21 (7/14/12) NEW STUDIO!

It is a rainy, hazy day here in Pittsburgh which only means that practicing yoga is vital for my ability to do anything active today! Lynn from BYS is now also teaching classes at Bend Yoga (www.bendyoga.com), a new studio downtown in the city. I attended her class this morning which was more of a gentle flow for me, nonetheless, it was perfect because my intent was to be kind today-to my body, to myself, to other-and that was the ideal predecessor for that Saturday intention. 

We saluted, made our way through vira I, II and III, hit bakasana (crow pose) and vrksasana (tree pose)...I ended with a shoulder stand before savasana. To follow the class Lynn introduced me to the owner, this leads to exciting news...I WILL BE TEACHING AGAIN! Either this week or next I will begin teaching the Tuesday 5:30 slot at Bend Yoga with a few substitutions in the next couple weeks and then hopefully more weekly classes. I am absolutely, completely and utterly overjoyed. I love being able to share my practice and empower others :)

More great things to come, but until then, off to Kennywood amusement park to enjoy some roller coasters!
