Chaturanga Dandasana (flops around some)

Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (smooshed into the ground)

Adho Mukha Svanasana (there it is!!!!)

this year i celebrated one full year of consistent yoga practice, so i drew something about it. i wanted to represent what it means to me - a physical outlet where i'm encouraged to improve myself and my health.

i'm not spiritual in the slightest, and there's a lot of vague 'mysticism' that comes with the practice, but i've always just did my own thing and enjoyed it my own way. it's done wonders for my back and mobility in general, and im very thankful for it.

the beautiful thing about yoga is that no matter how much time has passed since you’ve last been on the mat - the body always remembers! it may take a while before you visually start to see the progress again, but it’s such a reenergizing feeling to reconnect with the body and is a great reminder that we all have to start somewhere 🩵 enjoy the journey with all that it brings so you can later reflect on the knowledge gained along the way
