Two happy, tired puppers! We had our first successful walk together since Aggie was a tiny thing. . Despite training and working with her, she just gets so darn excited when we’re out and about! . We tried a gentle leader which wraps around the head and nose and Agatha HATED IT. Now when I say hate, I mean she truly and utterly loathed it. She’d claw it off of her snoot 1/4 into the walk! . So today we tried a NON choke prong collar. This has rubber tips and just creates a little bit of uncomfy pressure if she starts to get too pull-y. AND BY GOLLY it worked! . FINALLY, we had a great stress free walk complete with stops for lots of lengthy sniffs ❤️ BONUS- short video of Junie scaring away TV doggos. We had a successful trip to #rudysdogpark ! These pups are pooped! . Aggie gets so excited to go to the park that she pulls really hard on the leash. My sad lupus hands don’t handle that very well...#ouch SO we tried something new! . It’s called a gentle leader. It fastens around her neck like a collar and then wraps around her snout! It doesn’t hurt her, but it makes it more uncomfy for her to pull. . She hates it, but it works! My hands are very grateful. Hopefully we can convince her that wearing it means only good things!! 🐾❤️ . Since Bella Bones hasn't been able to wear a collar or a harness during her post-op healing, we've been using a gentle leader so we can still enjoy the outdoors together. I was skeptical at first, but I'm actually a big fan and it doesn't seem to make a difference to her as long as she's outside. She just got a pink one for her birthday!
