Hope this isn’t too real of me to say here, but I would like to say to all my mutuals, I appreciate all of you💖
Seeing you guys give a like or even leave a comment on any of my posts(or in tumblr’s case reboots) it always makes me happy to see that my content is seen with at least a few, even if they aren't big numbers or a bigger audience of sorts.
I truly love making you guys laugh, cry, and engaged or entertained by the content I make (even if it may be angst 😳 I hope it’s enough to get you intrigued)
So yeah, thank you ;-; I mean it💖/gen
Also this video perfectly explains how I react whenever you guys acknowledge my post through likes or reblogs🤭
how can you tell whether you're being condescending to someone/not taking them seriously vs just disagreeing with them
like idk i've seen posts on here where people are arguing and a little bit in one of them accuses the other of being condescending, when it just reads like normal disagreement to me. and i think part of that is power dynamics and stuff, like the person doing the accusing is usually marginalized and so already in a vulnerable emotional state. but that also doesn't necessarily mean that they're correct about everything (for an example most tumblr users would agree with, jews who support the state of israel do it because of their marginalization but that doesn't mean they're correct it means they're scared. and so they might accuse someone arguing about israel to them of not taking them seriously. i think this aside has lost focus.)
so anyway looking at how i engage in debate and stuff, i worry that idk i'm being too dismissive if i think someone is wrong, even if i have good reason to believe that. so i guess i have a few questions: how do you stay respectful of someone while still disagreeing with them? are you obligated to respect everyone's ideas (assuming that you've actually taken time to think them through and get their perspective on why they think what they do)? is it "morally ok" to not take someone seriously wrt politics? am i just overthinking everything or am i an asshole sometimes?
i know this is a worn out point but come on you gotta start giving a fuck. you gotta tell yourself that you’re incredible at what you do even if you know that the work you create is imperfect or that there are other people who are better than you. if you don’t keep a superiority complex that you let out into the work you create, you’re never going to create the great stuff you want to (keep in mind not to let that superiority complex bleed into your general outward disposition) i don’t care if this is the first comic youve ever drawn or the first poem you’ve ever written. i don’t care if you’re gonna cringe super hard at it in a year. you’re the best. your art is the best. you’re an absolute rockstar and you’re better than literally everyone else.
FNAF lore is the way it is for the same reason single color 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles exist.
Some people enjoy putting together insane puzzles (literally & metaphorically), where they have no idea if you have all the pieces - no, they know they don't have all the pieces - but they want to see how far they can get.
And that's not for everybody, and that's okay. A 1000 piece one color jigsaw puzzle isn't for everybody either. But some people do like 1000 piece single color puzzles, and some people like making theories, and that's alright too.
Everyone has their odd interests, and I think that should be celebrated, even if you don't understand why.
