for Flynn, the Emperor + the Moon!
The Emperor: What does Rook's leadership style look like?
- [ ] Anyone who knew Flynn in his Inquisition days would look at Flynn as Rook and see a different man. He still has that rebellious spirit, is still a fun-loving little shit, but he’s also so much more mature and responsible now. He really steps into the role and isn’t afraid to take charge. Even when he doesn’t have a plan. He knows people are looking up to him and he knows the world is riding on this, so he steps up. He’s doing what needs to be done. And of course there’s always time for fun and jokes and pranks along the way! But nowadays, he’s better suited to be that serious, responsible leader the team needs, too.
The Moon: How does Rook's past impact their values? Does their past come with any biases or blind spots they have to account for?
- [ ] Flynn’s got a lot in his past. He was raised dalish, so with all the ‘evanuris trying to blight us all’ he’s definitely conflicted there. He also wishes his brother (the inquisitor, disbanded the inquisition), could help out more. There’s a lot from his time in the inquisition too that comes up. He doesn’t care what Morrigan has to say. Doesn’t care about Solas at all—he hates the motherfucker and wishes he could go back to before he knew he was Fen’Harel and just keep pranking him with Sera. Mostly, the thing he struggles with most is that he was also a slave in Tevinter for a few years, so he absolutely hates the place. He cannot stand being there again. Fuck Tevinter. He dgaf that his former inquisitor brother and his stupid magister husband spend nearly all their time together there. He dgaf that Neve wants to save ppl there. He hates the place. It’s hard to be there and help Neve help people there…
