Gifts for The Girls
Pairings: Fred Weasley x Claire Evans (OC); George Weasley x Olivia Stirling (OC)
Diagon Alley is known as the best place to shop in the wizarding world. It's a strategic location with various shops for wands, books, school supplies, and everything in between. Today, Fred and George were looking for the right place for their future joke shop. After almost three hours of searching and consulting the right price, they decided to finally call it a day.
"We should go back soon. I think it's about to rain." George says to his twin, but Fred's attention seems to be caught by something else.
"George, look." Fred points at a few bracelets that are on the display of a jewelry shop. "Do you think we should buy one for our girlfriends?"
"I don't see why not. Olivia and Claire love to match each other." With that, both of them step inside. The place is not too fancy, but the fact that there are many people inside shows that this must be a favorite.
"Welcome, gentlemen. How may I help you?" The sales assistant greets them with a smile.
"Yeah, we saw those bracelets by the window display. Are those still available?" Fred asks while George looks at some other jewelries in the showcase.
"Are you referring to the couple bracelet?"
"Couple bracelet?" Fred and George wonder in unison.
"Yes. The black and white bracelets with rectangle plates on the display are a matching pair for a couple. It's made out of wax cord, so it's waterproof." The sales assistant takes out a catalogue that consists of product designs and variations. "We have many other colors, and the carving on the plate can be made as requested."
Fred and George look at each other. They're both intrigued, even though initially they only wanted to buy it for their girlfriends.
"How much does it cost?" George asks.
"Five galleons per pair, including custom carvings." Neither of them make a second thought. With the money they have now from selling their own products to first years, they are wealthy enough to spoil their girlfriends.
The sales assistant help them choose the color and design for the carving on the little plate. Fred chooses warm pink for Claire, while George chooses light blue for Olivia. Both of them choose black for their own, since the color is neutral and not too flashy. As for the carvings, they choose the simple design with each of their initials and a heart shape in between.
It doesn't take long until the final products are finished and packed in a little box. "Is there anything else that I can help you with, sir?"
"Nope. It's perfect. Thank you." George says on behalf of Fred. Both of them head back home, excited to see how their girlfriends would react to their gifts of affection.
