This is a movie that I didn't know about until horror movie podcasts. I remember hearing a bit about some of the infamous scenes. Jake and I over on Side Quest Podcast decided to tackle this movie. It is an odd time that it came out. This is from Italy and feels like a slasher that goes a bit farther with the gore. It also pushes the envelope with other things. Have you watched this one? This is another Mario Bava film that I probably wouldn't have seen if not for Movie Club from the Podcast Under the Stairs. There's a bit of a story behind its release, something that interests me. This is a tense little film that takes place in a car for pretty much the whole thing. It goes in a place that I wasn't expecting, which I can appreciate it. We also get a bit of George Eastman. Day 86 of 365 - George Eastman was the inventor of roll film and founded the Eastman Kodak company. He brought photography to the masses with affordable, easy-to-use cameras including these classics Kodaks in my collection. From left to right - the Jiffy Six-16 Series 1 (1933-37), the Brownie Target Six-16, and the Brownie Target Six-20 (1946-1952). In addition to photography Eastman was a major philanthropist, establishing the Eastman School of Music, and schools of dentistry and medicine at the University of Rochester; contributing to the construction of MIT's second campus on the Charles River, and donating to Tuskegee and Hampton universities. For the last two years of his life, he was in intense pain, caused by a degenerative disorder affecting his spine. On March 14, 1932, Eastman died by suicide leaving a note which read, "To my friends: my work is done. This one is addressed to my Uncle Lee, Dad’s only sibling. Lee would’ve been 8 and our Dad 13. Issued on July 12, 1954. The Eastman family moved to Rochester when George was six.
