The lord Jordal, Ulfar Alfgeirsson, arrives in Svendkoge to survey his lands there with a large retinue. Squalor had truly consumed Vornborg and Vinland, two villages that now belonged to the Lord altherIgnes and to Svendkoge. Despite pleas for help Lord Walther Ignes refuses to assist in the war against Vlennis. After months of planning and hard work the fight was finally taken to the ruins of Vlennis. A force, led by Lucius Tarsicus of Four Rivers, stormed the city and attempted to lay it bare but were outmatched. Evil Sorcery turned the invading army against itself and Vlennis appeared as if it would be lost for good. The pregnant Storvalla Espen of Rantoft is attacked and her assassin’s almost succeed but she lives through the attempt and flees to Svendkoge, losing one of her two unborn children. Lord Jesper, a claimaint to the throne of Langermach, is said to be in the court of Dyborgdin’s Jordal. Dyborgdin, who supported a different claimant, is said to be working on an agreement with those involved.
