Let that sink in...65%. Over half the babies who receive this diagnosis are no longer here with us. As I said before, no 2 cases are the same, so yes some cases are more severe and the parents face different challenges, but you think that 65% weren't even given a chance is astounding. During my 3 pregnancies I declined all testing for abnormalities and such because it just didn't matter to me one way or another. But, to be honest, I probably thought, "that could/ would never be me ". Good plot twist Jesus. You called my bluff. I'm in the phase of just now accepting my new normal. Our first year was rough. I can not imagine our life without Reagan. She definitely completes us. Her sassy attitude, her silliness, her curiosity is nothing short of amazing. This is just ONE small part of her, there's so much more to her. I can't wait to see what she does next.
