op do you have any fic recs? 🥺👉👈
Oooh, too many for a single post, my love! What genres / tropes are you most interested in??? Here are just some of my personal all-time favorites! Keep in mind, because they're my favorites, they all have happy endings :)
When they attend a flower festival, Geralt takes this opportunity to try and do something nice for Jaskier. His gesture unexpectedly holds some romantic connotations though. (4.8k) "Trapped in an underground chamber with four mysterious doors, the two both discover and reveal more than they had intended." (4.3k) "Jaskier wasn’t exactly expecting to take an arrow to the shoulder for a Witcher when his day first began, but his life hasn’t been any form of predictable for a long time now." (2.8k) "Everyone else (and I really do mean *everyone*) figures out what Geralt and Jaskier are to each other before they figure it out themselves." (21.2k)
"Jaskier is part fae and thus has a biological imperative for Mischief. Geralt proves unexpectedly supportive about this" (10k)
"five times Jaskier hugs Geralt and the one time Geralt hugs Jaskier." (22.3k words)
AU Warlord!Geralt receives Tribute!Jaskier as a sacrifice to appease him in every way possible. Jaskier has no choice on the matter and he’s fully aware of the awful rumours that have spread about Geralt and his ruthless conquests. (But we all know those aren’t legit.) A classic angst with a happy ending please! A dash of smut to heal those scars and a sprinkle of new found love! (27k, but leads into much larger optional-read series full of amazing characters and worldbuilding that totals to 663.4k)
It’s been two weeks since Geralt shouted Jaskier away from him on that mountain and Jaskier has been handling it like a champ by forlornly wandering alone in the wilderness with his lute. When he (literally) stumbles across an injured white wolf he decides to take a chance and see if he can help it, appreciating the irony of the situation but not quite realizing why it is that the wolf’s golden eyes look exactly like his Witcher’s... (11k, but leads to optional-read series that totals to 73k)
Five times someone else noticed Geralt's obvious affections for his bard and one time the Witcher actually did something about it. (4.5k)
Jaskier drinks some more, his lips red, red, red, and Geralt pulls himself out of his thoughts. Dangerous thoughts. Or, five times Jaskier's lips are red. (7k)
Sometimes all Geralt needs is silence (the obligatory episode 6 fix-it) (5.2k)
After a less than favorable interaction with Rience, Jaskier knows someone has to warn Geralt about the mage hunting him down. But with the mountain and Geralt's harsh words still fresh in his mind, Jaskier can't bring himself to greet Geralt in the same way. Enter a pretty new disguise and a pretty new man introducing himself to the witcher as "Dandelion." (14.3k)
Geralt keeps a journal to make sense of all the things he smells. Jaskier, of course, snoops through that journal to find out what Geralt thinks about him. He is not very happy about what he finds. (5.8k)
Three days, one hour, and fifteen minutes after Geralt dismissed him forever, Jaskier wakes up with a loud gasp and a violent shudder. He blinks slowly, allowing his eyes to adjust to the bright light streaming in through a window. Whatever he’s lying on is comfortable and the sheets smell fresh and bright, like lilac and freesia. A hint of gooseberry lies beneath it all, delicate and sweet. He glances around the space and finds it to be relatively bare; a guest room, perhaps. Maybe he’s a servant at some noble house? Jaskier only really knows that his name is Jaskier and that he plays music. He’s also rather talented with floral arrangements. (3.6k)
instead of a peaceful winter at kaer morhen, where the wolves (plus a bard, a witch, and a lion cub) can relax, geralt wakes up with no memory of jaskier, his bard, his companion, and most importantly, his lover. geralt broods. jaskier panics, but tries not to. everyone else wishes that they could just get their act together. (14k)
Jaskier makes a deal with a mage who's bested Geralt - he'll spare their lives if Jaskier agrees to never perform again. (4.7)
After a curious course of events, the Bard-To-Be Jaskier finds himself in the company of a cursed Witcher-Wolf and decides to help him find a cure. They travel and have to rely on each other in search for it, and find exactly what they need where they didn't expect it to be. (12.8k)
An alternate universe where witchers are much more feral, and have significantly less experience with humans. After killing a Bruxa one night, Geralt is paid with a human being. Geralt doesn't know the first thing about caring for humans, but he's sure he can learn. How hard can it be? (15.6k words and counting... teehee... a lil self promo)
