friendo do you mind if i use this as an opportunity to make a tutorial, because i Love makin tutorials

this tutorial includes gifs!! some of these images are supposed to be moving. i’ll note which ones move with an asterisk. if the images below the asterisks aint movin wait a sec for em to load.

SO. get urself a comic page template

use the comic’s template to help you snap the rectangle frame to a nice tidy rectangle.*

use the divide frame folder tool to divide the panels into different folders. because this is a japanese program, the folders will set up left to right, so you might need to do some rearranging. use shift to get straight and diagonal lines.*

to move panels around, use the Operation tool. it’ll let you do all kinds of sick shit to your panels. unfortunately, it’s really hard to isolate changing one panel. so hard that i don’t know how to do it yet. it’s still handy tho.*

each folder acts like a mask. whatever you draw in the layers inside those folders will ONLY show up within the bounds of that panel. 

i like to use this function to throw a comic page i took a picture of on there, cut up the panels to make the page work better, and then ink them inside the panels

a finished product looks a lil like this. look how many fuckin layers i used, i was a BEAST* (this is supposed to be animated but tumblr doesn’t Like it. you get the idea anyway.)

I love this. I imagine Tinriel striking up a convo abt Valenwood all excitedly and to hear that Elis is like, completely disconnected from Bosmeri culture and Tin is just like O_O

haha omg I really like this idea now-- but I bet he’d enjoy talking to Tin about it and kinda reconnecting with his culture even if just in a small way. The only practice I think he’d continue is not eating/messing with plants (even though its Mainly due to being brought up in his “pack”)
