In your post about how you would've changed the XY series to make Ash's Kalos League victory more satisfying, you mentioned how Kanto is the only region other than Alola that could've had a satisfying league victory. While you made a good point on Ash having more connections with Kanto than Kalos, I also feel that Ash needed to grow as a trainer before he was ready to win a league if he was retired much sooner.

With that in mind, what changes or additions would you make to either the Original Series (Johto in particular) or the Diamond & Pearl series to end Ash's story in Gen 2 at the earliest or Gen 4 at the latest?

Honestly I think ending in Johto as it was (just make AshvsGary the final and we're good) would have been great. Sure we wouldn't have "good trainer Ash" from Sinnoh or Kalos, nor the emotionally mature Ash of Alola; but Johto Ash felt like a very good growth from the brat he was in Kanto (specially for the 90s)

Also winning in Johto, that it's kinda of an extention of Kanto, down to sharing an elite four; would have felt like the ideal redemption for Ash (not to mention Brock and Misty were still both there to see his growth and all)

If I were to say to change something would be to just GIVE MISTY LAPRAS INSTEAD (in the orange saga)!!! Kanto-Johto sucks bad in the treatment of anyone other than Ash and the more I look at that pokemon under Ash the more I hate it. Misty never did anything with her water specialist goal! And are you telling me that Misty would not be insanely protective of that big water baby??? Misty has a theme song in japanese ABOUT LAPRAS???! how did they mess that up that badly?

Also, giving Lapras to Misty and perhaps including a small arc of her helping it trust humans while having Ash earning Charizard's trust happening side by side would have been SO GOOD.

I get it that having Ash earn it's trust was good setup for Charizard later but still STILL! It would have been a great moment to let Misty do something other than holding that stupid Togepi :T (Brock had more attention than her with the Vulpix plotline later!!)

Maybe we could still have Ash bonding with Lapras while Misty took care of the most complicated stuff like food, medicine and have Ash let her have the Lapras in the end despite everything cause "you know about it a lot more than me" or something. Good chara growth for Ash in doing that for Misty of all people and would also add into their ship if they were supposed to be endgame to match a potential finale. And would add another parallel to Charizard since Brock was wayyy more invested when they met it as Charmander and Ash got it anyway.

(we could even have Togepi evolve at the goodbye because of the overall happiness Misty and Lapras felt at the later's freedom or something)

Also, everyone loves to call out BW for not taking advantage of the timeskip from BWgames to BW2 but the OG anime also didn't do SHIT with the timeskip from RBG to GS and I think that would have been cool to see. Specially in context to Brock and Misty and idk maybe see Misty in special develop a bigger interest on actually becoming the Cerulean gym leader after all; while we could have more mentions of Forrest becoming a gym leader too (with perhaps him sending some pokes to Brock to raise, teach new moves, stuff like that! Kinda like he did with Suzie's Vulpix but expanded)

Having characters like Gary and Ritchie pop up more often (Johto had so many fillers that could have just been about recurring characters in general) would help a lot too. Specially I would have loved a proper Ritchie vs Ash battle so Ritchie himself could be like "you've grown a lot" ;w;

Also, Casey and Sakura should have been in the league and it would have been really nice if they had committed to the "Mentor Ash" thingie with Casey in specific. There are hints there, but it could have been much more interesting (specially if she did end up in the league but lost too soon and Ash supported her because he knows how that feels or even sort of "fought for her" afterwards. Adding that layer of "battling for the people around me and not only for the win" thingie)

While Sinnoh itself is totally not an important place for Ash, characters like Dawn (who helped in his goal) and Infernape (who showed us how much he grew as trainer and person), the connection to the lake deities, and the very deliberate parallels to the OG series make up for it so I would be ecstatic if he won the league there aoheduiabs

Fixing DP would be just fixing plot points that piss me off in particular. Like, make the summer camp arc actually have some sort of meaning??? That was so inconsequential and it piss me off how that lasted 4 plus the 5th fatphobic TR episodes.

@/silvermeww proposed the idea of upgrading Angie into an actual trainer (and therefore league rival) and I agree with that notion! Pokemon has a disturbing lack of trainer girls and an even more disturbing lack of girls in leagues, so having Angie take this role would have been super cool she could even replace Conway for me :3c and would make that arc hold more weight.

Not release Ambipom and fix Togekiss capture.

I.. I just hate how Dawn got Togekiss so so so so much. And the reminder that Ambipom got thanosed to make room for that bird makes it worse. There was a filler with an "evil" Togepi 50 episodes prior that could have gone for Dawn and become Togekiss and that would have been 100% better than the Salvia BS episode. Do the Togebo from Pokespe thing but with Dawn! That would be hilarious ashdiioasda

Ambipom could have gone play Ping Pong for all I care, but I do wish they had brought her back to the Grand Festival (at the very least for the appeals -show how far she and Dawn have come from their first appeal together QAQ-, or even just to watch it)

Ash winning against Paul with Infernape would not be too bad since that was the season that set up the Champions league (aka elite four) and therefore Pikachu would totally have his time against Cynthia (despite the buildup with InfernapexGarchomp.. maybe treat Spiritomb as her "true" ace?). It would totally be an Alola league then Kukui kinda deal. God, we could even do the Volo thing and give her Giratina as a treat /j

Also please Torterra should have his redemption arc in the Champion league! He could have a rematch against Bertha's Hippowdon!!! And Infernape vs Infernape in Ash vs Flint! Buizel rematch against Lucian's Bronzong!

Gosh… DP had some good set ups between the elite four and Ash's mons uh.

I really would have loved to see more of that, more of Brock seeing Ash growing and seeing him become someone who doesn't need his big bro taking care of him anymore (maybe could've expanded to things like taking care of pokemon or mundane chores too).

Speaking of Brock, I would have loved more Brock and Paul interactions since it was pretty obvious Paul saw a lot of Reggie in Brock. And I would have loved if that relationship could have helped Paul grow rather than the "oh no i lost. I am a better person now" approach that we got in the league lmao

Still onto Paul, I would have liked if his actions held more weight too. Is peak cinema when Ash takes over ordering Chimchar in the tag team tournament but I would have liked if Paul acting like that had ended in his disqualification (thus giving the two bells to Ash from the get-go). Like.. that was pretty much him forfeiting? And like, he was abusing Chimchar! He should have suffered consequences for it at least ONCE!

Gosh, imagine a plot point where one of the gym leaders refuse to take Paul's challenge because of how he treats his pokemon? And have him realize that not everyone is going to just let him do whatever he wants? It would have been nice. Crasher Wake (who is one of the most forgetable Sinnoh leaders -at least for me) would have been perfect for such a plot point.

Lastly I would have liked more old charas cameos. I know the anime hates it (they hated it even back in Johto) but I would have loved to see some past rivals reappering. Also more of Gary. More Gary is always good.

What if the Digidestends had Pokemon Partners Instead

I have seen this done a few times and I decided to take a crack at doing it myself, for fun. A few things to note before I show my picks.

A lot of the times I see people do this they just give the Digidestined the pokemon that looks the most like their digimon. Example Tai gets Charmander because it's an orange fire-breathing dinosaur, just like Augumon. I chose not to that because one it felt less fun, and two I don't ever remember the digimons looks being that important. They famously get near complete/complete makeovers when digivolving. Instead I am mostly picking pokemon based off the crests (virtues) each digidestiend represented and what the I think was the trait that their digimon possessed that caused the digidestend to most need this digimon.

I am limiting my choices to just starter pokemon. Those are the pokemon that usually became partners to trainers in the way that digimon did, have stronger evolution, and it helped narrow my choices down from 1k+ to like 30.

For this list let's pretend that Pokemon can evolve forwards and backwords just like Digimon

I grew up watching the 1990's -200's Digimon Adventures season 1&2, so that is the area of the show i am basing this off. I am aware that the show has done revivals since then with most of these characters, and probably did change them up some, but I am generally unfirmilar with those changes and am sticking to the era I know,

Oblitoury comment that these are my opinons and if you disagree or feel like another starter would work better for a certain character, (or if you could think of 1-5 other pokemon that should also be on their team) then please tell me who or why in the comments. I picked based on starter groups, but that is not a required rule for anyone else who wants to play

Taichi "Tai" Kamyia's perfect pokemon partner is...Scorbunny

(well would you look at that. I decide against the fire dino just to give him a fire bunny)

Tai represents the crest of courage. He is the brave leader of the season 1. He is the first to battle and really is the first to take protecting the digiworld to heart. He was reckless and would charge into battle with less of a plan than an idea, but he could think fast on his feat and kept with a mission until he completed. I had to give him a pokemon that could match his energy, and would be just as brave and raring to go as he was. Who else would that be but Scorbunny. Plus Scorbunny is always kicking its feet, and in their downtime would make a great soccermate for Tai.

Yamato "Matt" Ishida's perfect pokemon partner is... Sobble

Matt's crest was friendship and he really did go hard in trying to look out for and take care of his friends. His temper would come into play when he struggled with being unable to help someone or feelings that he as failing them. One of his big struggles was that his baby brother T.K. is growing up and won't always need him as much as he once did. Maybe giving Matt a more needy pokemon will satisfy some of his need to fuss over someone, and take some of the tension out of his friendships. Secondly I fully do expect Matt's temper bursts to scare his Sobble enough to make it cry at times. But then Matt would start crying to because of the effect Sobble's tears have on those close by. Matt crying in the anime was shown to not be a bad thing. Tears were a stage he needed to get to before he would stop lashing out at whoever was in front of him (usually Tai), voice what was actually wrong, and let his friends help/reassure him. So go ahead and cry more Matt. Sobble's evolution line goes from timmid and scared, to depressed and questioning everything, to cool and confident. It is a mess. Matt is also a mess, and cycles through all of that as well. Utlametly Matt and Sobble would be the pair that could best empathize with the mess that the other is and help them through it.

Sora Takenouchi's perfect pokemon partner is... Grookey

Sora is a tomboy who is head strong, loves to play sports, and also loves the care and arangement of flowers. Grookey's line is built in a way that it could be a partner to her in both soccer and tennis, and has abilites to help flowers bloom and stay healthy. All this is great for Sora. Sora is also the mom friend of the group, possesses a maturity that the others do not yet, and she gets a lot of confidence in being able to help and take care of her loved ones. Grookey is like a little kid in that it is very hyeractive and loves to get into things. It would need a trainer who is mature, patient, and caring to help it grow. Sora is all of that and I know that Grookey and her would be able to work practically together, be great friends, and have a lot of fun adventures with.

(Side note I originally had her and Matt's partners switched because Grookey loves music and Sora could be Sobble's mom. But then I figured that Sora is a lot better at dealing with over stimulation of Grookey than Matt, and that Matt maybe has a better grasp than Sora that sadness is a feeling itself and not a failure to be happy. I do find it cool though that Sobble and Grookey could work for both of them. They will one day all be a family after all)

Mimi Tachikawa's perfect pokemon partner is... Fennekin

Okay Fennekin just might be the cutest pokemon in the fire line. It's super feminine, as is Mimi. Mimi would love brushing its fur, dressing it up, and watching movies with it at night with bowls of snacks in front of both of them. I bet you anything she would buy a large purse that she could carry Fennekin around in. But for real along with it being one of the more girly designed pokemon and all the fun possibilites with showcases and dress up, Fenniken has strong fire power and a temper you don't want to agitate. This matches pretty well with Mimi's famous direct straightforwardness that originally made her so endeering for fans. Mimi and Fennekin together are that duo that know they are pretty and fabulos, and also that they are fiercer than they look.

Joe Kido's perfect partner pokemon is...Froakie

So Joe is actually the easiest of them to see why he needed his digimon. Joe is the crest of reliability. He has all the book smarts and and know how. He can make a plan and write you a list of provisions and supplies you will need. But he is to nervous and scared of taking a chance and failing to go on the adventures he has studied and prepared for. At least not alone. He needs a friend with more confidence that can teach him to be brave. He could learn courage from the training the Froakie line. Its also a very watchful and fairly cautious of its surroundings. It and Joe could make compromises on a plan and I could see it going along with Joe on doing things at an angle that minimizes risk. Lastly Joe is a medic and froakie could help him keep his hand or any injuries clean, and since it has fingers Joe could probably teach it to help with Bandaging (I swear I read once that it can do that). So in addition to Helping Joe with his self esteem and going on adventures it might also make a pretty good field assistant to him

Koshiro "Izzy" Izumi's perfect pokemon partner is Chespin

Izzy has the crest of Knowledge, which pairs well with Chespin's natural curiosity. Chespin are also generally optimistic, which could maybe rub off on Izzy since he has a bit of a tendency to be more repressed and hide from emotions since overhearing his parents discuss his adoption. Chespin can also apparently control how tough its quails are. That plus the way its armor grows to cover it body during evolution would be topics of study Izzy would take an interest in, and help him and the pokemon bond

Bonus starters 1&2 Pokemons top two mascots. Who deserves to partner with them

Takeru "T.K." Takaishi's perfect pokemon partner is ... Pikachu.

I wanted to give T.K. Pikachu since he he is a prominent member of 2 groups of digidestends and get's a lot of screen time. I looked for reasons why they would be a good match and found a few. Pikachu is mentioned in season 1 of the anime to make a good pet for a kid. It is also harder to evolve than a traditional stater, which Patamon also was. But what really sold me on it was the semi new trend of Pikachu wearing its trainers hats. It is so cute to imagine a little Pikachu trying to swipe and wear T.K's hat, and then when he outgrows his first one or changes to new hat he could hand the old one to his pikachu and be like "Here you can keep this now".

Hikari "Kari" Kamiya's perfect pokemon companion is... Eevee

Well since I gave Pikachu to T.K. of course I had to at least consider Eevee for Kari. But for real I gave it to her because her crest is "Light". I am not sure exactly what that means... that she is cheerful? Pleasant? Well light and sun kinda go together and Eevee can evolve into Espeon with either high friendship in the day or with a sun stone/shard. so cool Espeon can be there main evolution. Maybe Kari's can also evolve into like a giant flareon when she does that fusion digevolve thing with Yolei. Also with Kari and Gatomon Gatomon always felt like the on with the struggle (Personality) and Kari was there to help her get on the right path. An evil then redeemed Eevee sounds pretty fun.

Alright there is still the season 2 teammates and frankly the Hoenn starters fit them pretty well.

Daisuke Motomiya (Davis Motomiya)'s perfect pokemon partner is...Treecko

So Davis was the adventures two digi leader. While he may have shared Tai's level of courage and his passion for soccer, did not have Tai's confidence and was pretty in over is head as a leader. But he always tried his best and he did hep a lot (See Ken and his transformation). I picked Treecko for him because its line is has a lot of confidence, and are tough and sturdy pokemon in battle. Also like with Scorbunny, it is athletic enough and built in a way that I could easily see it helping Davis practice soccer and push a noodle cart latter on.

Iori Hida (Cody Hida) perfect pokemon partner is ... Mudkip

One pretty big part of Cody's character is that he is afraid of water. It got to where the anime gave Armadillomon an aquatic digevolution in Submarimon specificalyly so that he could help Cody feel safer in the water. .. So of course I had to pick a water pokemon for Cody. The Mudkip line are small yet strong like Cody. They are very loyal. Lastly it is known for being pretty docile and relaxed, so I could see it still helping to soften him and his more rigid views

Miyako Inoue (Yolei Inoue) perfect pokemon partner is... Torchick

Okay so this one is a lot because it looks like her Hawkmon. But it is also a cute pokemon and a really tough line. It would work well with her.

Now to add Ken and the pokemon I have chosen for him. According to the pokedex it is a starter pokemon

Ken Ichijoji's perfect pokemon partner is... Poipole

I wanted one for Ken that, like him, could work as a villain or a hero. Poipole is very intelligent, and an ultrabeast fits with how ambitious Ken is. It has poison typing. It seeks out light. Shot from its head can be powerful and dangerous attacks, or it can be doing art therapy (and Ken really really needs to do some kind of therapy). I coudl see it being a really good and beneficial friend/partner to Ken... Plus it would be really cool to see Poipole and Treecko DNA digivolve together.

"PIKACHU LOOK" The voice of a male brook the erry silence of the forest. "Hey buddy, are you a wild Charmander?" the boys voice rang through Y/N head. 'AHH HELL NAW SOME LITTLE BITCH AIN'T TAKING MY CHAMANDER' Y/N yelled into her mind. "CHARMANDER" She hollered as she stared to sprint in the direction the voice had come from. "CHARMANDER" she yelled again. "HELLO, IS SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A CHARMANDER?" the boys voice hollered back. Y/N was so turned around within the forest she couldn't pinpoint where the voice was coming from. "YES *pant* I AM, I"M A LITTLE LOST COULD YOU HELP GUIDE ME?" she questioned into what seemed like the obis. She waited for an answer, practically sitting on pins and needles. She was being to panic when she got no answer and the fact that she might actually be lost began to set in. "HEY YOU STILL THERE?" relief flooded over her. Never did she think that a strangers voice could be so calming. " IF YOU LOOK UP DO YOU SEE A NOIBAT?" She looked up into the bright blue sky and sure enough there was a small bat right over her head. " YEP, HE'S REALLY CUTE" She couldn't resist commenting on the indeed cute Pokemon. "YEAH... FOLLOW HIM, HE'LL LEAD YOU TO ME" 'okay follow the cute bat to the possible cute boy got' Y/N realized what she had said and formed a blush on her cheeks 'no no i have no idea who he is, for all i know he could be an old man' she smacked her cheeks a couple of time attempting to get rid of the redness. " Noi?" the small bat called from above "Ah I'm so sorry, please lead the way" She gently smiled up at the bat which caused a blush to form on the small Pokemon. "N-Noi" he then headed south and Y/N was quick to follow. 'Finally, I'll get to meet another trainer, MAYBE WE COULD BATTLE' she mentally conversed with her self ' maybe he's super cute... and we could get a drink and then go on a date, fall in love, have our first kiss, get married and maybe even kids' she began to fantasize all these random thoughts about this mysterious person shes about to meet. So lost in thought she didn't even realize that they where out of the forest until she was tacked into a hug "CHAR-CHARMANDER" the lizard cried. Making quick work to inhale the sent of his beloved owner. "Ch-charmander oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean anything I said, I was so scared I had lost lost you" She was quick to return the hug. Their embrace was interrupted by the boys voice. " whoh glad we saved you, that forest get's really spooky after dark" he said his head turned towards the forest. " Yeah thank you so much, I was horrified.." Y/N slowly stood, keeping Charmander in her arms. She looked up towards the boy and as his head turned she let out a loud gasps "A-Ash as in Ash Katchum?!" She was shocked to see such a familiar face. "AH Y/N.. its been soo long" he quickly brought her into a huge hug. Y/N gladly returned it. Seeing her childhood best-friend looking well and healthy was such a relief for her.  "I- I haven't seen you since Valencia" Y/N pulled away quickly. "My have you grown" she giggle looking at his face. "I could say the same for you, I see you got a Charmander now" Ash smiled, He studied her face, taking in every change since the last time he had seen her " Man, have you grown" he repeated her own words back to her. Y/N couldn't help the giggles that bubbled up again. " You know.. I'll be here or a few days, Why don't we catch up, like old time" Y/N suggested. "I couldn't have come up with a better idea myself" Ash smiled at the idea. " Okay but camp or find a hotel?" She asked looking at her surroundings " well after the events I think we should find a hotel room, that way you don't get lost again" He teased her before running to grab his bag "Shut up, that was hella scary" she defended herself and readjusted Charmander in her arms. With everything set they began their journey into the town.

It was about a 30 minute walk into town, They whole way they where telling story's of one an others adventures. "No way... SHE KISSED YOU?" Y/N was slightly heart broken that Ash had found a girl but glad at the same time. "Yeah, but, I didn't feel anything. I mean at the moment I was so surprised but yet there was no spark" He confessed with a sigh. Y/N smile dropped slight ' But she seemed so perfect' she couldn't help but think. "AH LOOK its an Inn" Ash pointed to the lights up ahead. Soon he took off sprinting "HEY WAIT" Y/N quickly followed after, trying to catch him. Soon they where at the front desk, checked in, and made their way up to the room. As soon as they got in Y/N fell onto one of the beds. "Man it;s been weeks since ive slept in a bed" she sighed attempting to sink deeper into it "Really, why so long?" Ash question while he sat on the other bed, Allowing Pikachu to craw up onto the pillows. "Well" she began, tucking Charmander into bed. " Charmander had gotten into a battle and he was pretty hurt," she gently petted her Pokemon's head " We spent 1 week in the hospital just trying to keep him stable. and after that another 2 days just to keep watch over him" She felt so upset with herself " How, how did he get so hurt?" Ash question taking off his jacket and hat, setting them to the side. Y/N remover her own gear and continued " T-The man had insisted on battling, I- I wasn't sure because he was rather strong looking and my guess was right... Even after he had knocked Charmander out his kept beating him" She gently ran a hand over her stitched stomach. " I had to step in to stop it and well his Scyther ended up cutting me to" " Damn, how could someone be so cruel?" Ash questioned "I-I don't know but I'm gonna get some sleep. Lots to do tomorrow" She ended the conversation rather quickly " ah yeah.. night" Ash said covering him self. "Night" she replied trying to stop the sobs. What Ash didn't know was who the man truly was and that the 'Pokemon battle' wasn't a normal one at all.

A few days had passed since the friends where reunited. The day where spent hanging out and battling. There was even a carnival coming to town and Ash surprised Y/N with tickets. "A Carnival? I love carnivals" she did little happy feet. "I remember that whats I got them" Ash explained adjusting his hat. "YOU ARE THE BEST" she jumped into his arms giving him a large hug and a small kiss on the cheek before picking up Chamander and chanting about how much fun it'll be. However she failed to notice the blush that formed on Ashes face 'that's the spark, the one that been missing' he thought to himself, a large smile forming. " Yeah, and the tickets for tonight so we better get ready" Ash said watching the girl dance around. "Right, I gotta get Charmander a Jacket, I'll meet you there at say 5:00pm?" she questioned, "Yeah that works, give me time to train a little more" Ash happy to agree. "Okkay SEE YOU" she then took off into a sprint into the town. "Pikachu, I think I found the missing spark" Ash smiled giddily " PiiiKa" Pikachu rolled his eyes as if he knew that already.  "Come on, I wanna look nice, make an attempt to match her" he ran back towards the hotel, planning out his out fit. 

Y/N sat in-front of the entrance in dark blue jeans, Charmander sneakers, and a Pikachu sweater. Charmander sat huddle to her side in Charizard hoodie. "I wonder what's taking him so long" Y/N talked to Charmander, checking her watch to see that it was already 5:20. She looked back up and scanned the walk way in serch of the familiar hat. "I hope he shows up soon" she signed "Don't worry Darling I'm already here" a rugged voice came from behind her. She stilled and continued looking forward hoping the voice belonged to anyone else.  "Thomas" she whispered under her breath as if it was a sin to say his name. "in the flesh darling" He leaned into her, inhaling deeply "And you smell sweet as ever" "NO NO GET THE FUCK AWAY" she screamed getting the attention of people passing. However a hand quickly covered her mouth "That was a mistake darling" he tightened grip on her arm " I've been hunting for you " he mimed while kissing her cheek. 'Ash please you bastard' She glanced to her side to see that Charmander had Scyther holding him. "Lets get out of here Yeah" he then attempted to drag her. Y/N did the only thing, she bit him hard, Drawing blood "AH BITCH" he cried releasing her. She then went to grab a ball from her belt to call her Houndoom but then she remembered she left her belt at the hotel 'fuck' she cussed to her self. She got into a fighting stance. "What honey got balls now?" Thomas taunted. "No but I have more than you" with that she threw a quick left hook, successfully knocking him back, and charmander used Flame thrower scaring the Scyther back. She threw all she could, fending him off for a good amount a time. But he played dirty, he called Scyther to cut her. She prepared for another blow but she was ready arms up. She felt no sting, no burn, but she saw a genja standing over her successfully deflecting the block. "A-Ash" She silently cried tears of relief. Brothers Playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Nyx: Okay, so I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, but I’ve never gotten around to it. Anyways, here are some headcanons on what Pokémon the demon brothers would play as if they were to play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. And yes, I did go through and take the test at the beginning of the game for each character, it probably isn’t all that accurate but I tried. This took me so long…

Lucifer:

His aurora is, a stunning orange!

He seems to be, the docile type, and is quite sensitive to others?

He listens attentively and respectfully, and is quick to pick up on things.

He probably finds his friend confiding in him and often telling him their problems (*cough*Diavolo*cough*).

Perhaps people laugh at him for being so earnest and not recognizing jokes? They’d die if they did but they aren’t wrong.

However, he’s honestly surprised and bashful about that aspect of himself??? And then laugh about it???

So, for a docile and sensitive type like Lucifer, he is:

A CHARMANDER!

Nyx: Okay, so I expected him to be a Chamander, but the rest of this? Either I just can’t get into the headspace of Lucifer or that aurora reading with my fingertip the game does figured me out. 😂 Anyways, his partner is:

Squirtle!

Because Squirtle reminded me of Mammon a little bit and is a water type. Mammon and Lucifer are opposites, as are water and fire.

Mammon:

He seems to be.. the hardy type??? Determined??

He doesn’t whine or feel sorry for himself, and never needs help with anything???

Nyx: Oh, I messed this one up… hehe… I guess the second part would make sense if it was something important he needed help with, or how recently he had been put down by his brothers.

He has a strong sense of responsibility.

Nyx: That one kinda makes sense, seeing as how he always takes the fall for his brothers and makes sure they’re safe.

He works towards his goals steadily and never requires attention along the way.

His resilient spirit is all he needs to guide him towards his goals.

But he needs to be careful, or risk wearing himself out.

He needs to recognize that, sometimes, he needs help from others.

If someone where to treat him to dinner, he’s have no problem ordering all of the good food.

He isn’t fazed about doing things that most others would think twice about, and tends not to notice when others are upset with him.

He has a sunny, positive outlook and a vitality that raises the lowest of spirits?

However, he’s also open to tears.

He bounces between laughter and tears easily daily.

Nyx: I messed up on Belphi so badly… 😱 I am so sorry! Ugh… Anyways, for his partner:

Mainly because Mudkip wasn’t an option and I think Belphie should’ve gotten Treecko.

Kanto Team:

Charizard (Shiny)

Moves: Dragon Claw, Flare Blitz, Steel Wing, Smokescreen

Phoebe got a Pokémon egg from Professor Oak as a reward for battling the Johto League and now challenging the gyms and league in Kanto. At first, Phoebe didn’t realize that the Charmander that hatched was shiny, she thought it was a normal orange until it evolved into a Charizard. She called Oak to ask him what was wrong with her Pokémon.

Oak has to explain to an anxious child that she got a rare shiny variant, it wasn’t sick or anything. Charizard seems to always want to seem cool to others whenever it’s out of the pokéball, Furret likes to tease it by tickling it with it’s tail causing Charizard to chase after Furret for making him lose composure.

Lapras

Moves: Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Life Dew, Whirlpool

The Lapras was rescued from poachers while Phoebe was at a beach trying to fish for water Pokémon, she spotted a suspicious boat that was chasing a Lapras to a corner. She called for Officer Jenny and pursued the poaching boat to try and save the Lapras.

She only had her Charizard to fight in an ocean field which was risky but had no other choice. She called out Charizard who burned the net into ashes and covered for Lapras as it swam away. Officer Jenny arrived to arrest the poachers and thanks Phoebe for aiding in the protection of Lapras.

The Lapras returned one night while Phoebe was at the beach and purposely got in between the pokéball that was meant for a Tentacool. At first, Phoebe freaked out because Lapras were endangered so she rushed to Officer Jenny to explain what happened and asked what to do. Officer Jenny escorted her to the beach to try and release Lapras but it seemed keen on staying with her. Seeing no problem, Officer Jenny allowed Phoebe to keep Lapras.

Kangaskhan

Moves: Double Hit, Endure, Outrage, Stomp

It was during a visit to a daycare that she first met the wild Kangaskhan visiting the area for the daycare workers to groom it and give it food before it went on its way. It has its routine every month to come to the daycare and leave.

One day the Kangaskhan rushed to the daycare, frantic and anxious. Phoebe noticed how its baby was not in the pouch, Phoebe offers to help find it and bring it back to its mother. She searched the usual place where the Pokémon nested when she came across some marks that looked like it belonged to Raticate and assumed they swarmed the nest while the mother tried to defend its territory.

Phoebe followed the trail to see the baby cornered by a group of Raticate, she used Furret and Charizard to do a combo attack of using Smokescreen to distract the Raticate while Furret used Agility to pick the baby up and get it to safety. Just as Phoebe was about to return to the daycare, Kangaskhan and the baby wanted to be caught and join the team.

Kangaskhan live true to its nature and often helps Phoebe with setting up camp and is one of her strongest defense in the team.

Nidoqueen

Moves: Superpower, Toxic Spikes, Ice Punch, Venoshock

Phoebe caught a Nidorina and it has a confident personality. It prides itself in its beautiful coat and was looking for a mate among the wild Nidorino. However, the Nidorino it had its eyes on fell for a different Nidorina which crushed its self-esteem. 

Kangaskhan always stuck close to it for comfort though it did little to help. Phoebe didn’t let it battle since it was feeling heartbroken, it was during one match that Nidorina was watching a match that was against a smug trainer and his Golem who was pummeling Kangaskhan without mercy and eventually fainting it. Phoebe is getting upset that the trainer was being such a sore winner, she was about to send in Charizard when Nidorina wanted to fight instead. It wanted to get back at the brute who hurt its mom friend.

Despite facing a powerful Golem, Nidorina made use of the Poison Point ability and learned a new move, Venoshock, winning them the match. It evolved into a Nidoqueen later on their journey while traveling through a cave, it happened to touch a Moon Stone when it tried to pick it up.

Pidgeot

Moves: Air Slash, Roost, Razor Wind, Protect

Phoebe caught a Pidgey when it tried to do a sneak attack on them, Furret hit it with an Iron Tail to allow the pokéball to make contact. Pidgey is quite stubborn and there are times it uses moves by itself, it has a rather strange need to prove itself.

It got more difficult when it evolved into Pidgeotto, it was more stubborn and often came out of its own pokéball. Phoebe was wondering why it was acting like this until the she saw a Fearow who seemed to be its rival. Realizing that it must be why it wants to push itself to be stronger, she decided to help Pidgeotto fight it.

It was during the air battle that it evolved into Pidgeot and finally defeated the Fearow rival. After that it was more obedient, though it can be stubborn still, but not to the point it was frustrating.

Vileplume

Moves: Giga Drain, Stun Spore, Sludge Bomb, Petal Dance

She caught an Oddish that seemed to be quite the prankster, it used Stun Spore on poor Charizard that made it drop to the ground with a thud while flying through the forest. Charizard managed to fight through the paralysis and spew a small fireball at its direction, fainting it. Phoebe felt awkward leaving it fainted in the middle of the forest so she threw a pokéball at it because she needed a grass type anyway.

Even through evolving to a Gloom it still was a prankster. Its eventual evolution into a Vileplume happened when Phoebe was at a jewelry store when a Leaf Stone caught its eye and nudged Phoebe to buy it. It likes to make people uncomfortable by staring at them while they go about their day. Phoebe got used to it though.

- Ash gets into making these cute story books about his, less dangerous, adventures!

- like his adventure with Charmander up until His reconciling with Charizard during the Orange Isles or cute tiny stories about how he came into being partners with Gengar and Dragonite

- his most popular book is his only adult book where he describes, in painstaking detail, his partnership with Pikachu from day one until the present. Every journey, every victory, every loss, every struggle. It’s a book spanning around 10 volumes that are pretty thick, thicker then say the HP or LOTR, and has been the discussion of many literature majors and professors in many colleges.

- it was also his first, and only, series and books he’s ever made. It was something his long standing therapist suggested he do and was supported by a very big majority of his friends because they all saw this as a way for Ash to get his feelings out. He only ever actually published the books because Lance, now way retired and in the nursing homes, loved them and wished that everyone old enough could read the books.

- they were published a year later on the date of Lance’s death, passing away in his sleep surrounded by his family and ‘Mons, with the books ascribed to him.

- this also brings up every single piece of confirmation evidence about every single world ending battle Ash and Pikachu ever been in. From arginine memory of their first meeting of Mewtwo and the feeling of being turned to stone, to Latios’s death, to the journey of raising Solgaleo from its baby evolution.

- no gore detail has been spared and It’s widely known not for the faint of heart and even some people who pride themselves about being horror fanatics can’t consume the books

- Ash, when faced with this facts, does a 180 and goes into child books. Light hearted and airy

- He makes a bunch of stories about Team Rocket Trio as well, about the only talking Meowth in the whole wide world and all their funny costumes

- he also goes and helps out in the nearby schools, advocating for more help for kids and teens with ADHD and other diagnoses and for stuff he was never given during his middle school and elementary time.

- Ash also gets his old middle and elementary school shut down. Teachers were well known to be abusive to kids that they didn’t seem ‘perfect’ in health, such as kids with ADHD and even kids with Cancer, and actively tried to fail them in anyway they can

- this causes Misty, surprisingly the best Champion Kanto and Johto has ever seen in a while besides Lance, into making stricter laws about teaching and making schools pay more funding for certain things to help kids be the best that they can

- Ash also gardens, a lot. He picked it up from Delia a little while before she passed away since she couldn’t take care of her own garden anymore, Mr.Mimey had well passed away after finding out he had the Pokémon Equivalent of stage 4 liver cancer later on in life.

- he and Brock have a bunch of communal gardens over a lot of cities in Kanto. Going to each one and teaching new and current traveling trainers the importance of berries and food that’s healthy for their Pokémon’s

- Ash is no longer Alola’s Champion, after holding the title for over 30 well loved years, but that doesn’t stop him from babying the current Champions across the globe.

- he gains the nickname ‘Grandpa Ash’ to league members both young and old and Ash wears the title with pride

Alt Rex's Team

Umbreon: It just makes sense that Emmet would have an Eevee, no matter the universe! And it makes sense what eeveelutions they'd each have, like for Rex, Umbreon evolves with high friendship (a lot of training) at night! Like all of the Squad, Eevee was AltR's first Pokémon, and is his loyal partner.

Shiny Charizard: Charmander looks like a little dinosaur boi, so of course Rex would be drawn to him. Shiny Charizard looks boss and AltR deserves one! Charizard was AltR's first fully evolved Pokemon, and the two have a close brotherly bond.

Haxorus: Despite being covered in hard armor and having incredibly destructive tusks that can be used to cut steel beams, this Pokémon is surprisingly kind. It is fiercely territorial, however, and will defend its home relentlessly. AltR's Haxorus often is the one to keep him and his team out of trouble... Goodness knows they need the supervision.

Hydreigon: A very destructive Pokémon, it lashes out at anything it deems as its foe, and has been known to destroy everything in its path. AltR looked at Hydreigon and immediately felt a kinship with it, and made it his goal to add one to his team. X'D It's the one he struggles the most to control... But that doesn't mean he's any less proud of him!

Garchomp: Rex just thinks Garchomp is awesome! It's known for its incredibly high speeds, and is a powerful attacker. Garchomp is AltR's most powerful Pokemon, and acts like she's tired of everyone's shenanigans, but is really just an enabler.

Rotom: A ghost/electric type Pokemon that enjoys possessing electric appliances, and can make technology perform better/give it additional functions. However it can be rather mischievous too.... But it's a very useful Pokémon to have as an inventor/tech whiz nonetheless, despite the chaos it causes!

Rem's Team

Shiny Sylveon: Of course Rem would spoil his Eevee with so much love and affection and attention. X3 (Every Rex Squad member has a shiny, Sylveon is Rem's!)

Arcanine: Pokemon famous for its loyalty and bravery!... And is orange. X'D Rem adores his big puppy, and if Rem ever appears to be missing, odds are he's just taking a nap with Arcanine, and is snuggled up so close he's been enveloped in his mane.

Altaria: Swablu is sweet and small, and although it evolves into a dragon type, it stays soft and fluffy! You don't need to be scary-looking to be strong, and Rem's big poofy dragon dancing bird is proof of that!

Gurdurr: A Pokémon that carries around a steel I-Beam to train and get stronger. It evaluates its strength by comparing itself to other fighting type Pokémon. It's previous evolution, Timburr, is known to help with construction, but Gurdurr enjoys demolition. Rem hopes these destructive and competetive tendencies will fade with evolution, he misses building things with Timburr...

Sawsbuck: A deer is a fitting animal for Rem, and Sawsbuck's build and expression looks rather tough and badass... but it has flowers on its antlers. X'D Sawsbuck is dependable and level-headed, and is the holder of the braincell in Rem's team most of the time.

Silvally: A Pokémon that evolves and reaches its full potential through patient trust and encouragement!! Rem didn't even know Type: Null could evolve, he just found the poor thing wandering the streets, and cared for it until it trusted enough to join his team. Null evolved not long after, and is an irreplaceable team member!

Rocket's Team

Umbreon: Same reason as Rex! Rocket's Umbreon helps keep his more unruly Pokemon in check. Usually the threat of a Double Kick does the trick.

Tyrantrum: A shiny female named Ripley, like his favorite raptor in the canon Rex Squad AU! Ripley was the powerful Alpha of his velociraptors, and only came to respect Rocket when he worked to earn her trust. Although Tyrantrum is a vicious and proud Pokémon, Rocket's came to respect him after months of patient training as Tyrunt, and she is extremely loyal to him.

Rampardos: Rocket was immediately drawn to the slightly stupid but determined headbutt Pokemon, and finds the dino's excitable destructiveness very endearing!

Tyranitar: Although Tyranitar is known for being extremely insolent and aggressive, Rocket was unfazed. He raised his Larvitar proudly, and loves his giant rude dinosaur-- and though the dino would never admit it, Tyranitar loves him too.

Aggron: Aggron is extremely territorial, and is so loyal to its home that if it is destroyed in a natural disaster, Aggron will work carefully to restore the land, like by bringing topsoil or planting trees. It proudly bears its battle scars as memoirs from past victories. Aggron is a lot more easygoing, compared to Rocket's other Pokémon, and can sometimes be counted on to help Umbreon keep things running smoothly.

Archen: Rocket's most recent Pokémon! It's the first Pokemon that Rocket managed to revive himself from a fossil. It's very mischievous, and often gets into trouble with Rex's Rotom.

Adore (Jaida x Nicky) - Moonshot

“Enfin, putain!”

Jaida furrowed her brows upon hearing her girlfriend curse in her native language. Not that she wasn’t used to it by now, but still surprised her.

“What are you babbling about, Frenchie?” She dared to ask upon seeing the blonde girl’s face basically beaming as she tore open a small cardboard box.

“It’s finally here, baby! I can’t believe I was literally the last one to get it and I’m the professional makeup artist in our friend group!” 

Despite still being slightly confused, the older girl couldn’t help the smile forming on her lips at just the sheer excitement of Nicky as she unboxed the long-awaited eye shadow palette.

“You’re acting as if you don’t receive PR for like 99% of the make up you own, Ni,” Jaida rolled her eyes playfully, bringing her attention back to the phone in her hands.

“Ugh, chéri! Not when it’s a PR from THE Lady Gaga’s brand! The queen! The legend! I’ve been waiting for a palette like this for ages!” Nicky pouted at her girlfriend’s seemingly disinterest in the new makeup. 

Then, as if a metaphorical lightbulb had lit up over her head, the French girl bolted out of the room with the freshly unboxed palette. She came back a few minutes later, armed with a couple of her favorite eye-makeup brushes in hand.

Jaida barely had time to react when her phone was taken away from her hands and the familiar weight of her girlfriend pressed on top of her legs.

“What-” 

“I gotta test it out right now, and you and your beautiful face,” she booped the older girl’s nose playfully, “are going to be my canvas. Now close your eyes so that I can prime them!”

The brunette couldn’t help but chuckle at how serious the French girl sounded, “Well, chile then, boss,” she commented, following the instructions and relaxing face. 

“Alexa! Play Tycho!” she shouted to the electronic companion.

Jaida shook her head in disapproval jokingly, “You and your weird instrumental music”.

The blonde pointed a finger at her face, however, failing quite a bit to look anywhere near threatening, “Quiet or I’m putting the whole Kingdom Hearts soundtrack!”

She brought her hands up in defeat before bringing them over to Nicky’s lower back to help her steady up as the blonde started working her make up magic on her.

Jaida heard the younger girl quietly hum, assuming she was contemplating what look she was going to go for.

“So, what’s the inspiration today, Frenchie?”

“All these blues are begging to be turned into a Squirtle fantasy!” Nicky replied excitedly, her mind already visualizing the final product on her girlfriend.

The dark-skinned beauty opened her eyes, frowning, “Don’t you have some orange or red for the actual true superior Pokémon starter, babe?”

“Salamèche? Superior? No, ma’am. The smart ones choose Squirtle, the ones who choose Charmander just want to flex their strength”.

“Whaaat? Nah, he’s a strong little dude, give him some respect! Squirtle is for boring bitches”.

There was a moment of pause, both girls firmly convinced in their ideas.

Nicky was the one who broke the silence, “… at least we can agree that you are a loser if you choose Bulbasaur”.

That made Jaida wheeze out loud, playfully smacking the tanned foreigner’s legs, “Can’t argue with that!”

The short-haired blonde leaned in to peck on Jaida’s inviting lips, “We will continue this discussion later, now close your goddamn eyes, dumbass”.

“Aye, aye, Captain Doll!” the brunette replied, closing her eyes once again with her hands now resting on Nicky’s exposed waist.

She let the younger girl’s expert yet delicate digit do all the work as the French girl softly sang a lullaby in her native language, slowly drifting asleep.

Jaida lost track of time when she woke back up. She guessed it must have been quite a while as Nicky was still humming to herself but the music had changed to one of her favorite Prince’s songs, Adore.

Then, suddenly, her girlfriend’s singing stopped while the music carried on.

With her eyes still closed, the older girl wasn’t sure what caused the interruption. She opened her left eye ever so slightly to peek through, finding her girlfriend staring at her with an expression she couldn’t really put a name to.

The brunette fully opened her eyes before talking, “Got something on my face?” she tried to poke fun at the situation, feeling the silence under the gaze of those icy blue eyes she had fallen in love with getting somewhat uncomfortable.

That seemingly brought Nicky’s mind back, her usual smirk plastered on her face as she rolled her eyes, “Your beauty, dumbass”.

The younger girl leaned in for a peck on the lips, which quickly turned into a proper kiss as Jaida’s arms held her body closer.

The two continued their impromptu make-out session until they had to separate to be able to breathe properly. Jaida smiles at the sight of the adorable flush Nicky would get every time they kissed for more than a couple of minutes.

“I mean it, you know, babe”, the French continued, tucking a loose strand of the dark hair behind her girlfriend’s ear, her hand then gently going on to hold the back of Jaida’s neck.

The brunette cocked her head in slight confusion, “Uh?”

“When I say you’re the most beautiful to me. I may work to paint celebrities’ faces for a living now but no one has still got nothing on you, ma belle ”.

The older girl tried to fight a grin from forming on her face, “Miss Nicky Doll?Getting soft, aren’t we, girl?”

Nicky scoffed, faking being annoyed at the response, “Fuck off! Much for ruining the moment, bitch”, she replied jokingly. 

Jaida couldn’t help but chuckle as she brought the blonde’s body even closer to her, the makeup palette along with the brushes long forgotten by their sides.

“Chile, girl! I’m just kidding,” she said, bringing one of her hands under Nicky’s chin, staring lovingly into her eyes.

“I love you,” the American girl simply said as she dived in to kiss her girlfriend. She felt the younger girl smile into the kiss, a muffled “je t’aime aussi, mon coeur” in reply against her lips.

The two lovers stood like that as they enjoyed each other’s embrace until Nicky’s phone started ringing, causing the latter to reluctantly separate from her girlfriend’s lips.

Jaida breathed out, collecting her thoughts as she heard the blonde answer the call.

“Hello? Oh, hi Rock! What’s up?” 

The brunette tuned out from the conversation as Nicky exited the living room going into the kitchen, already engrossed in whatever crazy story the young girl was telling her over the phone.

She couldn’t help but smile to herself as she thought about her relationship with the tanned French girl.
