My grandma has picked up this habit of just shouting 'HE THEM IT' every time I gently correct her for calling me a girl or she and tbh... I'm good with it. I am good with it.
So I just thank her and move on.
So my closeted ass was at work, greeting people at the door, getting misgendered a heck ton
And this woman and her son were leaving, I wished them a good day, they said the same, and
I overheard her say something along the lines of "was that a boy? I couldn't tell"
Yes I will be riding on a euphoria high for the rest of the day

went on a small hike with my friend through my neighborhood the other day. We had to jump a short fence to get there but we were just talking when a guy in like a UTV vehicle stopped and asked us “you ladies want me to keep the gate unlocked for y’all” getting misgendered like that shocked me so much there was a good couple seconds of buffer time before I even replied because it just hurt so much.
I realized It hurt more than usual because: That was the first time a stranger has ever misgendered me without them knowing of me beforehand or someone I know misgendering me first.
I was wearing a nice masc/euphoric outfit I have short hair, so maybe it was my voice, he could’ve heard me talking earlier. It just annoyed me for the rest of the day. And I couldn’t explain to my friend because I keep chickening out on coming out to her.
Luckily a stranger called me sir today so that other guy is irrelevant. and a creep. dude needed back the fuck up. we saw him like 3 other times after his first question.
