Someone just called me "sir" at work

I got such a big energy boost that it carried me through the rest of my shift

I was just at work, doing customer service stuff, you know how it goes. I finish serving this guy and he says "thanks, son"

He left and I just couldn't contain my joy, when no one was around I jumped and flapped my hands and just YES

(I've recently realised my pronouns are he/they)

So my closeted ass was at work, greeting people at the door, getting misgendered a heck ton

And this woman and her son were leaving, I wished them a good day, they said the same, and

I overheard her say something along the lines of "was that a boy? I couldn't tell"

Yes I will be riding on a euphoria high for the rest of the day

Honestly I already don't know how the day goes by so fast, idk how people fit relationships in there

I should have known I was ace when I (thinking I was alloro) said I wanted a boyfriend, but didn't ever want to get married. My parents said if I had a boyfriend, I either had to break up or get married, and I was like devastated. Apparently I just wanted a loving and caring QPR

Pro tip:

When talking about ANYTHING. Any kind of thing you aren't part of, or don't have the mindset you're talking about. Talk as if your listeners have that mindset. If you're cishet talking about LGBTQ+ stuff, talk as if your listener is a closeted queer person. Politics? Pretend that one of your listeners supports the opposing side.

This happens way too often, where people are hurt by others' words.

If you're bashing someone's personal beliefs or whatever, that person will be much less likely to ever openly talk to you about it.

I find it funny that I think I've been the entire LGBTQ+ community (L, G, B, T, Q, and A) (just not I) with my family not even knowing
