Coming home in Peoria after stocking up on groceries at Kroger. I was feeling a bit goofy and exhausted from moving and unpacking stuff I haven’t seen in months. Laugh with me or at me, either is fine. 😂

Speaking of the arrival of a baby... The first trimester was pretty much a nightmare for Penny (yup, she has denounced her Landgraab name and fully embraced her cover name 'Penny Starr' now. Also, if she writes books, they will have the right author's name), with nausea, lightheadedness and extreme fatigue.
But the rest of her pregnancy went surprisingly well. They had settled into the house and she worried less about how she would give this little baby a good start in life. Jess brought her in contact with an obstetrician, who confirmed everything was going very well and she was doing a great job.
Kit, who was at first overwhelmed by the idea of having a baby as a teen (I mean, very understandable) , absolutely fell in love with his future child. He often caressed Penny's belly, talked to the baby and felt if he could feel some movement, looking up to Penny with big, happy eyes.
Of course, the bigger and heavier the baby got, the harder it became for Penny's body. She was often exhausted and her back hurt more often than not, not to mention the high frequency of toilet visits. But both of them couldn't wait to meet their daughter...
I got whacked! Whatever! I've never done anything wrong, ever lol. They're oppressing the masses! Gotta start over. <3
@mixberkaan @pinkatron @lindariellanthir @mulasawala @do-androids-dream-ao3acc @i-am-pinkie ugh why can't I remember more @distinguisheddwarffriend @snailqueen42 I'll keep trying to rack my brain. <3
Yes I went with another ridiculous blog name. What did you expect.
It was pretty surreal. I noticed there was very little porn besides my own flying around this morning. Then, all of the sudden, I'm booted off the site. It took several seconds for it to click, lol.
It shows that I have made MAJOR progress in the last two years. When I accidentally drunk-deleted my 12 year old blog 2 years ago, I lost my ever-loving mind.
Now it's all gonna be okay. And Freaky Fridays WILL persist, but not with porn gifs. It really was fun while it lasted, and a sneaky little joy to be a purveyor of the porny arts. The biggest loss? I backed up my blog a couple months ago, so all my work on the prompt list is caput. Boooooo.
Finally, peace 😌
Another minor quest completed: (finally) sign up for a local library card, and start browsing the e-books!
We actually have a branch pretty close, and I still need to roll my ass over there to get a physical card to check out stuff in person. But, it was easy enough to get online access now that I do have a personnummer and all. You can apparently register without that, but do need to show ID in person.
The library does also carry a decent amount of English-language stuff, including a section at our currently small local branch. (Which is in temporary quarters at the nearby shopping center until the new building is finished sometime next year.)
But, a good part of my idea here--besides a general Libraries Good--was as a convenient supply of fodder to work more on language skills in a fun way. On the plus side, given my current proficiency and concentration levels: the library system's "two e-book loans per week" limit shouldn't be much of an issue right now! 🥴
Today, I decided to check out their YA selection, which is not entirely small on the e-book side. Browsed a while and added half a dozen things to my list. Then decided to start out with this, from the recently added category:
The Space Dog: A Journey to Jupiter
It's '50s SF, involving at least one Space Good Boy. May turn out to be cheesy as hell, but that's not always a drawback.
Almost a shame the publisher didn't run with what appears to be the original cover.
Which just has that certain very period je ne sais quoi.
Anyway, guess I have new plans for tonight! 😁

We’ve lived in our home for five months but I was still ‘living out of boxes’ in my closet. Actually ‘boxes’ was a plastic bin and big blue IKEA bag of shoe boxes and loose shoes, and a big bag of every random thing from my night table with jewelry trays of earrings on top. These things were all in the bottom of our closet. Every time Baby K comes, she finds a new pair of earrings to get excited…

Turns out the apartment came with this mirror after all! I’m too short for the bathroom mirror. Lmao can see like half my face in there. But anyway, I’m getting settled and this is where I’ll be living for the next 13 weeks! So say hello to one of the new selfie spots! ☺️

Velox came back soon, but hearing what was going on through the door he quickly made himself scarse. Found his way, after some asking around, instead in to Five’s room where he and Tarsimus rested up. They went outside, all of them together again and hung around under a tree. They all preferred to be outside and it was warm enough to stay there all the way to supper time.
