Raven of the Inner Palace is one of those anime, the ones that stay with you long after you watched them. It follows the Raven Consort living in the inner palace of the latest Emperor to take the mantel. Although as part of her role, she’s expected to live a solitary life and not get emotionally involved, life has other plans as she collects friends through her kind deeds. As the Raven Consort she has been given magical powers in order to help ghosts trapped in the mortal realm pass onto paradise. Whether is avenging the Emperor’s mother, the wrongful murder of a court lady or reuniting long lost lovers one last moment, each episode covers a wide range of mysteries and strange goings on. It got me tearing up multiple times and it is honestly one of the most emotionally beautiful animations I’ve watched for a while.

However, I have to warn anyone wishing to watch this anime that there things in this anime that will trigger some people, such as: murder, s****de, torture, humiliation, mutilation and S.H. Child abuse and Child S.A. Just to name a few.

But if you are able to stomach such content, then I highly recommend this anime. 5/5.
