Been thinking about creating more merch type stuff but not for sale this time around. Just not sure what exactly It should be...Colouring pages? Cards? Keychains?
On another note, I am in my final semester of Uni; so I'll need to see how the work load is by the end of the month to decide whether or not to restock soon.
I’ve heard a rumor that Earthspark is gonna get canceled and there is a part of me that wants to rewrite the entire thing because while I absolutely loved the concept and a lot of the characters, it really fell flat due to it being a Nickelodeon cartoon. The concept was amazing, we had some of the best Optimus and Megatron interactions, one of the greatest human characters the franchise has ever given us and plenty of opportunities for some really deep and meaningful moments and it getting boiled down to a nick cartoon ruined it all. And I don’t mean this in a bad way because I do know a lot of kids cartoons can be really deep, but having the kids sing to over power Soundwave’s attack, half of the Terran’s having such flat personalities and lore yet being a key focus of the plot and still writing the Decepticons and Autobots as being strictly black and white while having one of the best Megatron characters is just not right!
BRANDON SANDERSON MAY BE ONE OF THE GREATEST RECENT WRITERS.
He is like a Mistborn himself, able to push and pull my emotions. He was so good at displaying the characters. They felt like real people, like I was reading a strange diary of the characters.
I will never forgive him for killing Keisler. I understand the overarching reason. It was so smart. But it hurt like a fucking bitch. The image of his smashed in face still smiling is vivid in my mind. I had a fear that he would die after their first encounter with the Inquisitors. I was listening to a lecture given by Brandon about first person writing. He said that it’s become common to kill the main character at the end, but that it was a lazy thing. So I was relieved thinking that Vin and Keisler were main characters and as such exempt from dying. BOY WAS I WRONG.
The tale could end with Mistborn, so I’m interested to see where the story goes.
I’ve read through a few chapters of Yumi and the Nightmare painter as my first introduction. Enough to read about the sentient being that watching the stories. His writing intriguing enough to make me stop, look up a reading order, and buy multiple books. His writing style certainly reflects that he himself may be that creature, just writing out the stories for us lower beings to be enthralled by.
Onto the next book, we’ll see how my thoughts are. I plan to keep a written record since I like it and that all that matters.
