Ghost!Varian au in which he’s killed in prison but then comes back as a ghost after being tricked into making a deal with Zhan Tiri so all he can really do is hang out with Rapunzel and give her cryptic hints (she doesn’t know that it’s actually him, she just thinks she’s hallucinating him)

I think the red is when he’s under Zhan Tiri’s direct control? Or his emotions are just really high. He’s usually blue though
