Reading: several American romance stories, since I get freebies via a newsletter. And a memoir by Rick Wakeman called “Further Adventures of a Grumpy Old Rock Star” that I’m reading on the local library app.

Last Series Watched: the last whole series I watched was the fantastic “How to Get to Heaven from Belfast”. I’ve finally started watching “Dexter” after seeing it crop up in late night tv schedules years ago, and seeing it is available on demand.

Last Film: blimey! I watch oodles of films a week. Let me consult my watch list…. It was “Shaun the Sheep: Farmageddon”, yet again. My grandsons adore it; and I must admit that I sort of do too.

Last Song: it’s whatever was on the radio as we drove home *consults the playlist* "Take Me to Church" by Hozier.

Sweet or Salty: both, probably more towards salty.

Coffee or Tea: since I last answered this question, I’ve gone right off drinking normal tea (i.e. black tea), I just can’t face it; so I drink herbal teas instead. I’ve become a fan of Whittard’s “Glow”

Working On: a Ten/Donna version of Persuasion; and a sequel for my Gallifreyan Productions series. I know what I want to write but getting the oomph to do so is a very slow process.

whenever you have the time and inspiration please could you tell me what you think would have happen if series 4 donna had ever met the rani? please i am so curious

Oh my god that would have been SO funny I think. A list of things that would probably have happened:

-Donna realizes Ten is also a loser among Time Lords and she gets very annoying about it later

-Donna is seething with jealousy over how beautiful the Rani is (because she doesn't realize she's kind of very attracted to the Rani). Ten is upset that this is yet another companion of his that has said the Rani is hot

-Donna completely misunderstands the Rani's making fun of the Doctor's newest regeneration and now thinks Ten had extensive plastic surgery done

-The Rani says she liked the other redhead better and Donna is both offended by that and by the fact that the Doctor never told her she wasn't the first redhead. Both of them hear the repressed hate/lust undertones in the Rani's statement and Ten implores Donna to never, EVER bring that up to him again (he is perturbed by the thought of Mel/Rani)

-Donna narrowly avoids vivisection by being so annoying that the Rani decides to just kill her instead, which buys Ten enough time to ruin the Rani's latest project

-Upon realizing the Rani went to school with the Doctor, Donna IMMEDIATELY asks her if he ever had a boyfriend. Ten almost falls over from shock and it makes the Rani laugh so hard she almost throws up

-There is like a 50% chance the Rani and Donna end up in a fistfight

2. Favourite colours: at the moment my favourite colours are blue and teal; but I do love rainbow combinations.

3. Currently watching: we recently gained access to HBO Max which has up to episode 4 of S2 of The Pitt, so I’m waiting for more of that. Last week the big shows were Last One Laughing UK, and The Other Bennet Sister. Normally we’re watching things like Have I Got News For You, Taskmaster, Gogglebox, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Great British Bake Off, The Repair Shop, and crime dramas like Shetland, Vera, The Chelsea Detective, or The Marlow Murders. We can’t wait for the new series of Ludwig! As you can probably tell, I’m a big telly addict.

4. Currently reading: a kindle romance boxset called “Homecoming Hearts Series Collection” by H.J. Welch and Helen Juliet.

5. Current obsession: I’m still fervently shipping the Doctor with Donna Noble whenever I can

6. Currently working on: a Ten/Donna ‘Persuasion’ Austen AU. In fact, I’ve got 2 versions of it on the go: one modern setting and one period.

7. Last google search: finding a distance on the map app.

8. Current desktop picture: it’s a 60th anniversary poster from the 2024 calendar, of the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble.

my fucking god it's me again I know but I was trying to sleep and suddenly remembered that scene from your fic when Donna had just been tortured and she went "they slashed my fucking bra >:( It was LiMiTeD eDiTiOn" and burst out laughing. it was peak characterization

I still laugh about that because it's one of my favorite dialogue bits I've ever written for her.

Like it's a weird logistical thing to think about but I've always been like "wait a minute if you whip a woman like they do to men what happens to the bra those things rip through clothing there is no way the bra is surviving" and Donna is absolutely the type to be more worried about her limited edition bra than the fact that she was almost tortured to death.

Nine:

How I feel about this character: I dont talk about Nine a lot because Ten and Six have a death grip on my brain but he is very near and dear to my heart and he deserves the world

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Ninerosejack supremacy they are one of my top OT3s of all time

My non-romantic OTP for this character: He and Martha never got to meet and thats a fucking shame because they'd crush it as a duo

My unpopular opinion about this character: there is something bittersweet and nrarratively satisfying to me about Nine's sendoff and I dont really mind it all that much. I still think he should have gotten more screentime (but I absolutely understand why Eccleston made the choice to step away), but it's such a good ending i think, considering Nine's entire arc is about the guilt and grief he holds from the Time War. His sacrifice to save a life is the perfect end for him.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: would have LOVED to see him have to confront more Time War stuff and the consequences of the Time War. Or i think it would have been cool for him to have a run-in with Faction Paradox.

Donna:

How I feel about this character:

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I do like her with Lee and Shaun. Girlie deserves to be happy. Tendonna is also very, very interesting to me as a romantic dynamic even if I dont necessarily ship them

My non-romantic OTP for this character: She and Ten are two halves of a whole idiot and I think in canon they have something much, MUCH weirder going on than just a friendship or romance. I also think shes besties with Martha and Mel

My unpopular opinion about this character: SHE IS A DISASTER!! Is she incredibly smart and awesome and constantly underestimating herself? Yes. Is she an unmitigated disaster area in multiple facets of her life? Also yes. She will give you S-tier relationship or work advice and then turn around and somehow manage to blow up the printer at work. She is absolutely never the braincell holder.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: this could also be my unpopular opinion but as much as I love the 60th anniversary specials, I really, REALLY wish we would have gotten a bittersweet, tragic ending with her and Fourteen. That's part of the appeal of Donna's story for me is how much it feels like a shotgun blast to the face when you reach the end. There is an alternate plot for the 60th specials that lives in my head that I much prefer to the actual outcome where she and Fourteen "die" together (regenerate and lose her memories again/literally die, respectively).

Top 5 characters your like writing whump for the most and why

YESSSS THANK YOU FOR THE ASK

1. Honestly? Number one is Donna. I LOVE making Donna Go Through It. I have severe cuteness aggression.

2. I've been really attached to Mel Bush lately and by that I mean I want to push her down ten flights of stairs because I adore her and I love breaking cheery characters.

3. Kirby Reed from the Scream franchise. She was one of my original blorbos that made me return to writing fanfiction after like 5 years. She has suffered a lot and I love making her suffer more. One day I'll finish the Scream fics i started

4. Tenth Doctor. I adore him i want to put him in my pocket I need to see him in severe distress and covered in blood

5. Sixth Doctor is also getting up there. I adore him i need to see him suffer mightily.

Also notable mentions who are actually like 2 and 3 but they're OCs so I didn't include them but it would be a disservice not to mention them because i think about them constantly: my OC Haven and my OC Lucent. Haven is my blorbo supreme of my OCs and suffers SO much but shes also immortal so there's literal centuries of her canon I can fill with angst. Lucent was my blorbo supreme before Haven existed and she was a literal war prisoner for like 2 years and she has so many mental illnesses <3
