Nutcracker Month 2020, Day 22: Nicholas

This year, I’m turning all the nutcrackers into whatever animal chosen by their creators, with an added bit of holiday flare!

For day 22, we have @ghosta-r‘s Nicholas, featured as another leucistic elk on this list! in the background is an interpretation of another one of ghosta-r’s characters, the North Wind! I figured a deer with frosted branches for antlers would be a worthy set piece for some holiday spirit! Ha!

A little late to the party with this, but wanted to doodle something for @ghosta-r of their oc in the Pirates of the Caribbean AU they created with @thederpyhipster - Captain Mag, the mad lad~ ♡

I am a very big fan of @ghosta-r‘s Starlight Brigade comic and it was only a matter of time before I made some fanart. I love the character designs and the spacing of the story, I’m excited to see where it goes! If you haven’t read it go check it out!!

yo yo can you tell me where you were able to order a copy? I might wanna try to wrangle one myself!

I was able to find a copy on a site that ships internationally here: https://www.aladin.co.kr/shop/wproduct.aspx?ItemId=198037013

The website is in Korean only, but Chrome’s Google Translate function helped me out quite a bit. Unfortunately international shipping was a lot, basically the price of the book, so for me in the US it cost about $40 total ($20 for the book, $20 for shipping). But hey, I also own a bunch of Disney ‘The Art of...’ books and they’re usually $40-50 when they come out so it’s basically the same.

Honestly, he is a great character, with a lot of potential.  In my opinion, he deserves more screentime and could puch the narrative in future episodes.
