The banshee
old take i know but im still obsessed with the idea the real reason that ryan is surrounded by skeptics or people who are on the fence is because they are all really supernatural beings that are just there to protect him from other ghost and beings so he doesn’t killed by his own idiocy
"so and so needs to go on top five beat down," "so and so should go ghosting hunting," "I need -insert random YouTuber- to be on puppet history"
Ryan and Shane are like untamed zoo animals, you can't just drop anyone into their enclosure
Ghost busters
wake up babe new comfort show just dropped

I've been re-watching all the old Ghoul Boy Supernatural episodes on BUN recently. Holy shit was Ryan an absolutely nuclear level spooked boy. Guy was absolutely terrified of literally everything.
I feel like the biggest chance over the years hasn't been Shane's gradual decline in vocal objection, but more Ryan, perhaps, becoming less of a fervent, uncritical believer? Like Ryan nowadays seems like a guy I'd like to hunt ghosts etc with, whereas the old Ryan would piss me the fuck off within about 10 minutes. Only natural when you do this kind of thing for 6 years, but still interesting. To me anyway.
I think they've both chilled, but Ryan is the most obviously changed to me.
