My tumblr username has had a couple different iterations over the years. When I first made my account it was a completely made up word that was hard to pronounce. A couple of years ago I got into a VR battle royale game called Population One, that I don't really play anymore, but I had to make an account and needed a username. Wanted something that was easy to say over a mic, but also had meaning for me. I landed on "GhostOracle." I really liked that name, and still do, and ended up switching to it in various places across the interwebs.

Ghost because stealth is my go to game play strategy, I have a bad habit of sneaking up on people irl, and in terms of folklore creatures, ghosts are also the ones I identify with the most. I've always had a strange fascination with death and the deceased, and the idea of haunting - that lingering memory even when you're gone - is just something I've always wanted? Yearned for? I've spent most of my life feeling invisible, overlooked, and largely unimpressionable, and I often feel like I struggle to connect with people even though that's literally the one thing I want to do lol. Most people seem to do it so much better than I can, and it's still something I struggle with to this day.

Oracle because I like the mythology tie in, and I'm very observant and have a long memory, which makes it easy for me to plan ahead, so "I see things." (Honestly, to the point that it might be considered kind of freaky. You might not remember where you put your car keys, but I probably do.)

I still use "GhostOracle" in some places but ended up changing it to "ghost of futures past" when I got into writing fan fiction. I didn't want anyone I knew irl to know I was writing so I changed my tumblr username to match ao3 since these are the places I solely participant in fandom lol 😅. So my current username was a play on words of my previous handle.

Fun fact: I recently found out there's a published book of the same name, and it's weirdly prophetic seeing as it was published in 2012... The same year I made my tumblr account... 👻👁

The Black Sapphire was accented in so much gold it nearly hurt Bea's eyes being in there.

"V!" Bea hissed in his ear. She squirmed in her seat, trying to maintain focus at the couple sitting in front of them. She didn't remember what they were talking about, couldn't recall who they were.

V cooled and warmed his hand down sending ripples of delight up Bea's spine as his hand moved further and further into her green sequin dress under the table.

"So, do you think that's doable?" the woman across from Bea said.

V ran his fingers along the bare skin exposed by the small thong, the smooth chrome across her coarse hair felt soothing.

Her breath fluttered when he teased his fingers between the fabric and Bea just nodded. She had no idea what they were asking about and could only hope it was the right answer.

V cooled his hand down to an icy chill and slid one finger between her slick folds. Bea yelped and tried to hide it with a cough.

"Great. So we'll send you the spec. Do you have an ETA of when the project might be complete?"

V slid a finger inside her and saved her, covering her sharp inhale with an answer, "Assuming the spec and details are accurate we'll have the jewelry back in your hands in no time."

He didn't move his finger and it felt like torture. She squirmed again, trying to get him deeper inside her, trying to chase friction against his hand.

"Excellent, I'll have a data courier drop the shard off at your loft."

Bea nodded, it was all she could manage.

When the couple left, V removed his finger. He stuck his finger shining wet with her slick into his mouth, savoring her taste.

"That was a six-figure job, V! We can't risk it!"

V shrugged, "You seemed to have it handled."

"We have another meeting in ten minutes. I'm going to the bathroom to fucking compose myself. Will you behave?"

"Depends," V said.

"On what?"

V leaned in close to her ear and licked the outer edge of her ear before replying, "If you let me fuck you first."
