Maybe I'm ignorant to the ways of the xianxia world but I've had an idea that's been rattling in my brain for a while.

From what I've seen, namely from the cultivation world of MDZS/The Untamed because atm I've only focused on that, it seems one can cultivate anything to be able to be used as a spiritual weapon (swords, sabers, musical instruments, jewelry) as long as they use enough spiritual energy with it and practice with it a lot until you're basically one entity.

So I've been thinking... Nie HuaiSang, he didn't like to cultivate with the sabers of the Nie sect, or wield any other weapon at all, but he always had a fan on him and I believe I remember him even deflecting swords with his fan if that memory isn't faulty and instead WWX deflecting swords with his flute. But.. Nie HuaiSang as a war fan cultivator, something of a secret unorthodox practice of his that he's extremely proud of, with the one he cultivated having a few hidden blades if a situation ever comes about where it's necessary.

Hey what if I made a college AU based on my experiences in college as I go about my first year college life because I have ideas and they feature:

WWX + NHS as roommates, they've been best friends for at least 3 years and communicate 57% of the time through sexual sounds and echoing memes off each other

NHS being the hyper-upper of WWX's gender nonconformity and self-expression outside of toxic household

WWX lofting their bed up to the highest level and putting a hammock under it and smuggles younger brother JWY in for an overnight whenever he needs it

WWX teaching NHS basic life skills because while NMJ did his best to take care of him that really just translated as he wasn't allowed do any chores

NHS going to a LGBTQ+ student mixer and seeing all the queer staff and queer students and ends up crying in the corner rather than making friends because one of the staff members is a drag queen, WWX wanted to attend but was afraid of someone recognizing them and ratting them out to their parents and their college funding taken away so stayed in the dorm and played Minecraft

NHS was given a treasured knife of NMJ's as a going-away gift, and promptly gave it to WWX who left their collection of knives at home on the third day when they both had to piss but there had just been a really loud argument and pounding sounds at the end of the hall

Someone has a boyfriend who likes to eat and keeps both of their time-blind ADHD asses fed, though for the sake of this AU NHS might be the one who likes to eat and drags WWX out of bed and across the street to the dining hall

I cannot sleep so I'm reading gdc and I'm on chp 99 and.... God it's so funny??? Novel spoiler alert for ahead just in case but the thought of Lan XiChen spilling every single ounce of tea to Jin GuangYao INCLUDING everything about WangJi's feelings for WWX and basically getting him to ship wangxian with him too is just, so good. JGY has literally just threatened to kill Jin RuLan and now he and LXC are fretting over them having separate rooms it's incredibly funny
