i don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're a gifmaker or an artist or a fic writer, and you ever start to feel guilty for not creating enough, or not creating enough of a particular thing; its probably a sign that you need to take a step back and have a breather. remember that the hard work you put into fandom is done for free, and you do not owe it to anyone, nor can anyone demand it of you.

since the new season is upon us and i'll likely be giffing more, this is your reminder that i will not be tolerating any unsolicited discourse/negativity on my gifsets. i don't care if you hate s7. i don't care if you hate [x] character or dynamic. i don't care if you think everyone who ships buddie is stupid for getting queerbaited or whatever. i don't care if you think [extremely unlikely negative scenario] is gonna happen. make 👏 your 👏 own 👏 post.

I don't know if you take requests so you can completely ignore this ofc. If you like it, could you do a parallel set between bobby calling hen captain and her saying 'don't call me that' the last time she was interim captain (i'm blocking on what episode it was i'm sorry), and him calling her captain in the last episode while she's smiling and accepting the title ? no worries if you don't do it!!

hey, i'm actually pretty sure that it was either eddie or buck who called her captain for the first time in 6x02 if i'm not wrong, not bobby!

rating 911 begins episodes based on how fun they are to gif, because Why Not

chimney begins: 100/10, in addition to being the best begins episode, it has some of the most amazing cinematic shots on the show AND has great lighting! no notes

buck begins: 10/10, the color grading and lighting is incredible, all the scenes are super vibrant and there are some great shots

hen begins: 8/10, has some amazing shots, and gets a ton of points for the montage of hen becoming a firefighter alone

eddie begins: 6/10, has some really good shots with the well and the rain and the farm, etc. but loses points for the awful filter in the flashbacks (this episode is still my babygirl tho)

athena begins: 6/10, again; this episode has a lot of great shots, but loses points for the filter over the flashbacks :(

bobby begins again: 6/10, overall it's an easy episode to gif, but loses points because a lot of the scenes are set in really dark and gritty lighting

point of origin: 4/10, objectively it's a really good episode! but the s1 lighting alone makes it lose points :(

camera raw filter is SO useful for color correcting scenes but it takes up so much CPU power i'm legit afraid my laptop wil blow itself up every time i try to use it
