Day 9 - What is the worst thing about studyblr in your opinion?
Classism. Popular blogs are the ones with $$$ (fancy pens + fancy tech + enough time to make pretty notes etc) which isn’t v sexy and sends a detrimental message to the younger members, as well as unintentionally pushing students to make pretty notes which could be an ineffective method and essentially a waste of time.
Day 10 - What is one thing you wished you could change about studyblr?
Wish people would give more rep to studyblr’s that aren’t traditionally aesthetic

How to chill out a little (does that i mean i chill out tho? no)

Hmm. I’m not sure, I don’t ?? read at beaches. Nah uh I think my holiday reads are usually in the fantasy/sci fi land so probably the inheritance cycle or field one (and the rest of the books in the series even tho I’ve only read the first 3)

The Old Guard! I enjoyed it, it was entertaining but the open ended finish and lack of a good plot was a bit :// It was nice seeing two main characters be gay and in love without one of them dying needlessly too.
Y’alll the fact that my IB results are out and I’m officially done with the IB is such a relief! I do feel a bit bad though because whilst my results were good, I know a lot of people suffered due to the use of an algorithm.
But yeah, graduation tomorrow and then I’ll be done with my school as well, I can’t wait to finally end that chapter of my life. Then I can finally deal with the stresses of University admissions because everything’s been delayed due to covid :/

I love both, daytime for work productivity but night time for outdoor fun. This year it’s more daytime bc we’ve had no holiday

Usually they’re pretty mild, maybe one or two days in the 30C region then we stay in the mid to high 20s. This year we had around a week and a half to two weeks of heat wave, where we were consistently in the 30s. The issue is that the houses are designed to retain heat so it felt like we were in the tropics + insulating houses which ,,, Yikes

Forest fruit w ur av forest fruits (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries). Is. Is that alrdy a thing? It sounds like it’s already a thing

3rd September - How have you prepared to return to school/university?
I mean,,, not prepared at all, I’m still working on moving out (as u can see in the above pic, all my to-dos are about packing) and then maybe I’ll mentally prepare myself for uni lol

Fast, boring, conflicted

The world situation really drilled into me that you can’t rlly predict how anything will go.
6th September - What was your favourite memory from this summer?
Not me doing another challenge,,, I’m hoping it’ll keep me motivated to keep me studying because it’s been a while since I’ve done any hardcore school work. This time I’ll do it daily (or try to)!
Day 1 || Introduce yourself and tell us what you study!
I’m Hal! I just turned 18 (can I still say that, it’s been 2 weeks now) and I study veterinary medicine! Currently in my 1st bachelor for vet med and I started on monday. Kind of a trip because the amount of content they expect us to self study ,,,, All Of Osteology. They Want us to learn All the bones on our own 😭 but that’s how it is, especially during covid, so I’ll make the most of it!
21st August - If there was a tropical island made just for you, what would you find on it?
Probably some horses
22nd August - Imagine that you could fill a swimming pool with anything except water and swim in it. What would your pool be filled with?
Always wanted to see how swimming in jelly would go (I know it wouldn’t rlly Go but cloudy w a chance of meatballs did a number on me)
23rd August - Do you miss school/university/work during the summer?
Absolutelyyyyy. I’ve been studying for this placement exam but it’s :/ just revising the content I’ve learned over the last two years and I’m bored! I miss learning new things.
24th August - Do you like wearing sunglasses?
Yeah but I have to put contacts in for them so I rarely do - I was thinking of using contacts more in uni but we’ll see.
25th August - Do you wear sunscreen?
Yep, on my face under my moisturiser as like, ,, a preventative measure for sun damage, I don’t rlly wear it anywhere else, I don’t ever burn
26th August - Have you ever been really badly sunburnt?
Nope, not even mildly
27th August - Do your sleeping habits change during summer?
Yeah, it overall gets healthier, funnily enough. It was often school pushing me to sleep past 1am (though that was my own fault, I’d procrastinate in the day then get forced to work til later to meet deadlines). I’ve gotten more disciplined lately and make sure I get all my work done before dinner so by 18:30 I’m all done, meaning I close all my devices around 11-11:30 then sleep by 12. I’m hoping to keep that in uni but we’ll see how the workload goes :P

Sand somehow enters into every crevice in your body and you’re finding sand 8 months down the line. It’s like glitter, it never leaves you
