GingerPilot Summer Event 2019 Themes/Schedule!
Event Dates: June 16 - June 22 (Warm-Up Day on May 12)
Firstly, thank you to the people who submitted theme requests/suggestions. I tried to design the themes so that all the suggestions fall under one of the categories. Here’s the schedule for themes:

Guidelines:
GingerPilot-centric/not with other ships with Poe or Hux in them. Having other ships that don’t involve these characters are fine to have as side ships. I am not trying to say anything against these ships, only that this event is meant specifically for the Poe/Hux pairing.
Ratings/Warnings are appreciated when necessary but honestly, as long as your post isn’t derogatory/prejudiced/offensive, you’re free to use whatever GingerPilot content you want, whether it’s MA or G rated.
GingerPilot WIP cross stitch. Hoping to get this done for the GingerPilot summer event by the end of this month, along with my other late submissions.
(And yeah... Hux has no flesh yet and it’s freaking me out. Poe looked even worse because I accidentally unraveled his eye but it’s fixed now. At least he has some flesh now and isn’t just a floating X-wing Pilot suit.)
Day 3 - Summer Romance
Hux agrees to house sit for Rey and Ben. He hasn’t taken a vacation in ten years and was “due for some relaxation before that stick up his ass killed him”. While out on a walk, an afternoon storm appears out of nowhere and he ducks into a pub to get out of the rain. While there he catches the eye of the owner - Poe Dameron. The two men don’t exactly hit it off, but Hux feels drawn back to Resistance Grill and Pub and the two eventually start to hang out. As the summer gets hotter tension rises between the two men. Will, their relationship evolve into something more than just sexually charged barbs? And if it does, is it just a summer fling, or something that will remain when everything cools down?

GingerPilot Summer Event! (begins June 16)
The GingerPilot Summer Event starts on June 16 and will run through June 22! The themes are posted below in case you wanted a reminder.

“Arresto momentum,” Armitage murmured. He slammed his book shut and stared at Poe out the corner of his eye, as if he were preparing himself to look away at the right time. “Well, what was I supposed to do? Let you fall to your death?”
Poe has a close call during an unsupervised Quidditch match and is saved by his housemate and long-term "maybe-more-than-friend" Armitage. It isn't the first time one of them has saved the other.
Written for Day 6 of the GingerPilot Summer Event (First Line Challenge). The quote was "It's a wonder you're still alive". Companion one-shot to my other fic in the GingerPilot HP AU, "Home".
GingerPilot Cross Stitch for the GingerPilot Summer Event Free Day @gingerpilotevents and design grid. I used DMC thread (2 strands per stitch), so the colors match up to the DMC codes. The design was done using StitchFiddle.
If you would like to do this design and post the finished product online, I would appreciate it if you could mention my blog though attribution isn’t required in the legal sense. :)
A few notes on the colors and lining:
I kind of improvised which colors from my original color scheme I used and which ones I decided were too bright, too muted etc. and substituted. So, I guess it’s all personal preference.
Poe’s hair was improvised a lot based on whatever ended up making the texture come out more.
There isn’t a way to do lining on the program I was using (I don’t have the premium account so that might be why), so I kind of just filled in on the grid roughly where Hux’s rank insignia bands would be. I also just lined the letters in with black instead of using actual stitches.
And if you decide to do it... be careful not to accidentally pop the black part of people’s eye out. I did it with Poe. It wasn’t pleasant.
