HOW TO CONTROL AN UNCONTROLLABLE MIND?

Arjuna asked: Oh! Krishna, since the mind is unsteady, turbulent, obstinate, and very strong, controlling the mind is more difficult than controlling the wind." (Bhagavad Gita 6:34) Shri Krishna answered: "Arjuna, no doubt the mind is very difficult to control. However, it can be controlled by constant practice and detachment." (Bhagavad Gita 6:35) Without DETACHMENT to people and things, MIND cannot be controlled. Shri Krishna said : When a person constantly thinks about objects attachment to those objects arises in the mind From attachment, desire is born and from desire, anger is born From anger comes delusion from delusion comes the loss of memory. From the loss of memory comes the destruction of intellect and once the intellect is destroyed, the Person perishes. (Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2: 62, 63)

Without God, is there even objective truth?

Without God, there isn’t anything because God is the eternal origin of everything that is manifest.

With God, there is objective truth and relative truths, objective morality and subjective morality, reality and illusion and everything else we can experience.

Bg 7.4 - Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego-all together these eight constitute My separated material energies.

Bg 7.5 - Besides these, O mighty-armed Arjuna, there is another, superior energy of Mine, which comprises the living entities who are exploiting the resources of this material, inferior nature.

Bg 7.6 - All created beings have their source in these two natures. Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both the origin and the dissolution.

Bg 7.7 - O conqueror of wealth, there is no truth superior to Me. Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread.

Krishna who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes. Brahma Samhita 5.1

Narada Muni and his curse

Narada Muni was cursed by Prajapati Daksha that, although he has facility to travel anywhere in the universe, he will not be able to stay in one place for long. However, this is not the real reason. It is only the external reason.

Pure devotees of Lord are above any such considerations of boon and the curse. They freely travel anywhere and everywhere. The real reason why Narada Muni travels across the realms of the universe is given in Srimad Bhagavatam

janasya kṛṣṇād vimukhasya daivād adharma-śīlasya suduḥkhitasya anugrahāyeha caranti nūnaṁ bhūtāni bhavyāni janārdanasya

‘’O my lord, great philanthropic souls travel everywhere on behalf of the Supreme Personality of Godhead to show compassion to the fallen souls who are averse to the sense of subordination to the Lord Krishna.’’- S.B. 3.5.3

In the words of Narada Muni himself,

deva-dattām imāṁ vīṇāṁ svara-brahma-vibhūṣitām

mūrcchayitvā hari-kathāṁ gāyamānaś carāmy aham

‘’I (Narada Muni) travel, constantly singing the transcendental message of the glories of the Lord, vibrating this instrument called a vīṇā, which is charged with transcendental sound and which was given to me by Lord Kṛṣṇa.’’- Srimad Bhagavatam 1.6.32

Thus, Narada Muni travels everywhere so that he can preach the glories of Krishna and revive the conditioned souls from the deep slumber of material life.

Tulsidas Jaynti..... Goswami Tulsidas is considered one of the great saints and poets of the 16th century. He was born in a village named Rajapur in Uttar Pradesh. Saint Tulsidas, who was born in 1554, composed Ramcharitmanas, which is one of the immortal poems. Apart from this, he has composed 12 texts including Gitavali, Kavitavali, Vinaya Patrika, Janaki Mangal and Barvai Ramayana.
