Have you ever seen Affair the series/have any interest in it? Just a curious viewer of your blog as i generally adore your thoughts and takes on characters and their motivations/feelings and they’re my personal favorite GL couple. If not then no need to answer this! Instead i’ll just ask what are you favorite gl/lesbian couples and why? (Besides sammon ofc!)

I have not seen nor heard of it, but I'll check it out! It'll have to wait until Payback is done. Despite being poly in my personal life, I weirdly find it difficult to focus on more than one ship at a time. I get hyperfixated.

I haven't actually seen many GLs. I really should seek them out more, given the fact that I find women more appealing than men in most ways. But I don't seek out BL often these days either. I'll check with @heretherebedork and @absolutebl if I'm feeling a craving, but they don't tend to watch GL often, and usually what I'm looking for is D/s and ideally S&M, which I just haven't found in any GL shows yet. It would require a lot of research, because rarely do mdl synopses state if there's a D/s vibes in shows.

So I guess this is a request to my followers and anyone else who sees this! Are there any GL shows out there with a D/s vibe? Feel free to comment or send an anon if you feel self conscious.

The discourse around HR is that age old ‘representation must be perfect otherwise it’s not representation at all’ which is honestly so tired and unhelpful….

Like? Of course we deserve good rep, realistic rep, respectful rep. But we are talking here about QUEER shows made by QUEER people NOT about the gay cousin in some early 2000s drama.

And honestly I’m not watching shows nowadays thinking ‘is this coming out scene a biblically accurate representation of when I came out to my best friend?’. Queer shows can and should just exist, and ofc we critique but I don’t think we should be tearing them down because it doesn’t align perfectly for ‘my’ exact experience. That’s not what art is nor should it be.

GL series are about to take over the second half of the year and im SOOOOOO here for it!!!!!!!!!! july alone is gonna be packed with content, especially considering this list is only including thai GLs and i just recently learned we're also getting season 2 of ayaka is in love with hiroko starting from next week!!!!!!!
