The heat that drenched the Cotes ward was so damn unbearable. Even riding through it on his motorbike wasn’t making things easier. So much for a cool breeze as he drove in... He’s gonna end up getting burnt at this rate! But his phone showed that an opening was further ahead-- the quicker he can get there, the better. His destination should only be a few minutes away... But soon enough, he winds up spotting something peculiar.
A lone figure... versus several armed enemies, likely those working with NULL. The Reaper was closing in on them too fast to clearly make out the details of the fight... so it’s time for some quick thinking. And the first thing he does is tightly grip the brakes while suddenly turning the wheel, forcing the bike to turn and slide forward.
“Outta my way--!!“
The enemy barely had time to even register the danger, all four of them now being knocked up by the incoming vehicle as it left sparks flying through the air. A few seconds later, Ragna barely managed to get the bike standing upright again by the time it came to a stop, his free arm quickly taking out his sword to plant it into the ground for balance.
... That took a lot of damn practice-- he’s glad he managed to pull it off decently well when it mattered most. But surely this brief feeling of self-satisfaction will deflate the moment he realizes who he just saved.

“ N- No, no, it’s okay. Don’t worry about it, really. ” He understands the struggle plenty, when one is simply enemies with their own two feet... or perhaps even their entire sense of coordination. Ashton has lost count of how many times he’s been dubbed ‘clumsy’ from accidents all too similar. It’s practically synonymous with who he is, and his penchant for bad luck makes it no better. Well, that aside, his drink is very much on the ground now, its contents already starting to seep into the cobblestone at their feet. No salvaging that, but he doesn’t seem bothered by it. She’s apologetic enough as it is, to say the least. “ Honestly, I’m sure I’m the one who should have been watching where I was going. ” Gyoro and Ururun nod over his shoulders: ‘don’t sweat it!’ “ Sorry about that. ”

He could see it happening from a mile away; feet immediately pounding against the soaked asphalt below as he hurriedly made his way towards her. Though the woman had been successful in helping a group of people escape the flooding of Golden, pointing them to an area of higher ground, she was the last to move; leaving herself vulnerable to the dangers around her. The sea was unforgiving and destructive, as evident in the buildings it had broken, in the streets that had caved under its crushing weight; and in the waves it sent to pull her to her demise.
“Behind you!”
A hand raised towards the blonde as a bright glow formed at the ground beneath Watanuki’s feet; his magic crest forming almost instantly at the sight of her danger. Quickly, he willed a barrier to shield her from the water; dark blue crashing against a transparent surface, as if appearing to still have the chance to strike her. Within moments however, the wave began its descent from where it came; tumbling downwards and soaking what it could before returning to its place of terror.
Pulling his hand back, Watanuki freed the barrier from its place; making no hesitation to finally bridge the gap between himself and the other. With concern flooding his gaze, the shopkeeper offered the girl the same hand he used to protect her; inviting her to where she could be safe, if only for a moment.
“Are you injured?” his question for her wellbeing came first; his voice soft, despite the worried expression that settled on his features. “.. it’s incredibly admirable of you to help these people, but you shouldn’t be doing this on your own. Please, let me help you.”
