Spotted this shiny friend (legless lizard) chilling at the edge of the forest! It seems to have lost its tail, but looked fine otherwise. (Very good photography subject, gave me plenty of time to take pics before it started moving.)

Legless lizards are like 90% tail tbh.

legless lizards are so bizarre because some describe snakes as "lizards with no legs" but oh my god nothing tells you more about how different snakes look than by comparing a snake to a legless lizard. youll look at the legless lizard and then the snake and youll become a snake expert. nothing demonstrates the inaccuracy of comparing an animal to another animal but with modified attributes than doing it and what the hell is that thing? the exact animal i used for comparison with the modified attributes? it looks tortured please take it away

I wasnt going to do anything today, but then my friend told me about legless Lizards and I just couldnt resist giving my siblings a good troll 😘

Little sis was the first to take the bait. Our eldest was the second to fall for it.

Added some evidence, but nothing that didnt look incredibly real 😏

First bro wasnt having it. He caught on right away, but again, that is kind of the point isnt it 😉

My sister was done with me, but then the youngest finally chimmed in!

I think I broke him 🤣 had to wrap it up and fess up after that. Legless lizards are real (link) and are actually pretty different from Snakes. But I still dont think they believe me.
