New Characters in Hiro Mashima's Upcoming Game Farmagia!
Farmagia is an upcoming game developed by Marvelous with Hiro Mashima behind the character designs, and we've got a bit of an insight on the description for each of these characters along with a small inclining of what the story will be about. The game will be released on November 1 with an announcement of an anime in the future.

VISAYAN WARTY PIG Sus cebifrons ©Laura Quick This critically endangered pig sprouts a natty mohawk in the summer to woo the ladies. I just learned this and will keep an eye out for the new 'do on the make at the Zoo. Zoos around the world are working on developing strong offspring that can hopefully be returned to join those tiny populations still existing in the wild, as their native terrain has stabilized and can support at population again. Visayan warty pigs tend to live in groups of four to six. The diet of the pig mainly consists of roots, tubers, and fruits that can be found in the forest. They may also eat cultivated crops (this is a problem). The Visayan warty pig receives its name from the three pairs of fleshy "warts" present on the visage of the boar. Biologists speculate that the reason for the warts is to assist as a natural defense against the tusks of rival pigs during a fight. The boars also grow stiff spiky hair. #viyasanwartypig #wildpig #suscebifrons #©lauraquick #asia #artiodactyla #suidae #losangeleszooandbotanicalgardens #losangeleszoo #lazoo #glaza #philippines #southeastasia https://www.instagram.com/p/B86tcDnHLiw/?igshid=1mcdkli2mg0oe
BATELEUR EAGLE Terathopius ecaudatus ©Laura Quick
The Bateleur is a medium-sized eagle in the family Accipitridae. Its closest relatives are the snake eagles. It is endemic to Africa and small parts of Arabia. "Bateleur" is French for "street performer."
Bateleurs are hunters and scavengers, they will attack other species for food and will scavenge carrion. The bird is adept at finding smaller carcasses before most other scavengers. The Bateleur will hunt birds and their eggs (mainly doves and pigeons), small reptiles, small mammals (like rodents, genets and mongooses) and insects.

From the Nicobar Islands of Malaysia pretty iridescent feathering. I’ve just started 23 weeks of intense docent classes at the Los Angeles Zoo, so I’ll be posting stuff from my time at the Zoo between now and April. :)
