They are a feminist art collective who retaliate against cat collars in a surprising, but harmless way. The UN reports Mexico has the worst rescued in the world for sexual violence against women, estimating 44% experience some form of sexual violence, from groping to rape. The situation is so bad that Mexico City offers female only cars on subways and in 2008 introduced female only buses which are painted pink. These women aren't pretending they're going to change the world single handedly with their glitter guns and punk rock, but they say they're making THEMSELVES feel better by taking some of their power back and they're bringing very hard to ignore, glittery awareness to the problem of street harassment.
