Enjoy tender, juicy BBQ chicken infused with the flavors of Memphis-style barbecue sauce. This gluten-free recipe ensures everyone can savor the smoky, tangy goodness without worrying about gluten allergies or sensitivities.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 cup ketchup. 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons honey. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional. Salt to taste.
Instructions: Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Add salt and pepper to the chicken breasts. Using a small saucepan, mix together smoked paprika, honey, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Mix well. Over medium-low heat, stir the sauce often until it starts to simmer. It should simmer for 5 to 7 minutes or until it gets a little thicker. Use a lot of barbecue sauce to cover the chicken breasts. As soon as the grill is hot, put the chicken breasts on it. Grill the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it's fully cooked and reaches 165F 75C on the inside. Baste the chicken with more barbecue sauce every so often. Take the chicken off the grill when it's done and let it rest for a few minutes. Put any extra Memphis-style barbecue sauce on the side and serve the chicken with it. Have fun!
