Was not planning on having steak tonight, but it was either steak or calf’s liver—and for the record, I make a mean liver and mash. Funny thing, this lone 2x pack was mixed with the liver (just about the only thing left, and there were many). Maybe someone stashed it to come back since there is a 2 pack limit on some meats. Whatever the case: slow-smoked steak and this delicious 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon (mature yet fresh & savory—the type of Cab I enjoy with a meal) from Brookdale Vineyards is what’s for dinner.
