(Washington, DC) August 20, 2015 — Goal Diggers of the DMV and The LoveLife Foundation present “Ready for Success,” a celebrity red carpet benefit to support Suited for Change, a 501 (c)(3) organization that prepares low-income women impacted by abuse, homelessness, and other challenges, for the workplace. Ready for Success will be from 7 to 9 pm on September 28at STK Steakhouse (1250 Connecticut Ave NW, WDC). Hosted by 3-time Grammy Nominee Raheem DeVaughn and Fox 5 News Anchor Holly Morris, 100% of event proceeds will benefit Suited for Change. Ready for Success is the vision of Goal Diggers Founders Tressa “Azarel” Smallwood, award-winning publisher of Life Changing Books and Tonya “Sole” Johnston, recording artist and health and wellness expert. The entrepreneurs set out to create a program that would relieve various social burdens, while providing business resources for women preparing for the workplace.
“It’s important to empower women who’ve survived life’s toughest challenges, including abuse, homelessness and teen motherhood,” said Smallwood. “The Host Committee and organizers of Ready for Success have all overcome tremendous tragedies to walk in their purpose, and we are committed to helping women in the Suited for Change network to do the same. We know that they are destined to succeed, and every setback can be used as a stepping stone.”
Ready for Success will honor domestic violence survivors and provide business resources and beauty makeovers to Suited For Change Clients.
