So I accidentally ran into some discourse about Call me by your name and I'm not even going to discuss that, but just the amount of Americans saying that a 17 year old is an actual child and incapable of any consent and any relationship with a 24 year old is by default creepy and inappropriate... I have no clue how, but somehow Americans today are convinced that at 17 you're a child, and like... no, that's just wrong. Are you immature and inexperienced? Yes, but well you can be that at any age!

on one side I'm honestly scared if people are still arguing about that movie, on the other... again 17yo people are not children imvho except in one specific occasion which would be if you send them to war bc a 17 yo going to war is pretty much that, except that oh wait 17yo people in the usa can actually enlist so... like sorry but if you're old enough to enlist you're old enough to want to bang someone in their mid-twenties and I'm dying on that hill also one thing is mid-20s and one thing is mid 40s like.... please also at that age did anyone actually think their peers were more attractive than uni students? because i don't really think so
