Can we please exercise some critical thinking when it comes to art in this fandom? So, so much of it is AI garbage being churned out for likes and it doesn't take much time or thought to see it for what it is.

Look at the hands. Count the digits. Are the hands in a position humanoid hands can be in?

Look at the clothes. Are there laces on them? If so, do they look right or do they run together weird? What about the patterns? Do they just suddenly morph into other things?

Look at the eyes. Are the pupils the same, or does the iris overlap them weirdly, making them look kind of cockeyed?

Do lines bleed into other, unrelated lines? Do the characters look remotely like they should? (I saw an Elucien post not long ago with a redhead, straight haired Elain, for example.)

Please just look for these things, and don't feed into what these people want. Support actual artists and PEOPLE, not those who want to make a quick buck.

Bro I was reading a fanfic and I really felt like so many of the moments were being drawn out for an excessively long time

The same point or sentence (worded differently) would be repeated over and over again by the same charecter

And one character was originally walked into a closed room just to suddenly appear to be interacting with characters that were outside said room

Then there are parts of the timeliness that don't match up at all, I'm so confused

How many times can the rooms silence deepen before the world owes them sound?

Nothing makes sense, it feels like there is no emotion from any of the charecters at all. Aren't they supposed to be grieving? Why doesn't it feel like such

So just incase I put one of the chapters into an AI detector, low and behold it said 84% AI, I used another detector and it said 76% AI

I then checked the upload date and all 16 chapters seem to have been posted on the SAME DAY

I know AI scrapes from writers but this happens to be posted at a pretty recent time meaning it was during the time in which AI was infact present.

But the writer also seems to have fanfics from 2021 so maybe they just have that type of writing style?? There are also terms only used in transformers fics (servo, spark, peds ect.) SO maybe that's more proof of innocence?

As a writer myself I obviously wont jump to conclusions and yell about how they use AI but thr evidence seems to point that they do, all shame really, the fanfic idea was slightly interesting

It kills me that AI generated texts use em dashes and “If not x, but y” statements. Because I used to do that!! Before chatgpt and COVID-19 was around (tbf I was a kid). I don’t use those types of statements as much anymore but man do I love contrasting examples. You could use the “xy” statements for emphasis or as an emotional beat, but now I want to cringe whenever I see so much of it.

And the em dashes… I do a lot of tangents—apt for my blog name ‘cause I ramble. You could use anything for side topics such as commas, semi-colons, parentheses, or brackets [if you’re feeling frisky]. But em dashes evidently separate your tangents where it’s clearly a segue from your main topic. Em dashes are my beloved. I swear to the heavens above if I see one more “em dash = AI” argument from a professor or anybody really.

I will stare deep into their retinas until lasers shoot from my eyes. They can pry my punctuations from my cold dead hands.

FYI, I'm pretty sure the interior design pictures you posted earlier today (of a dark-wood foyer with staircase and of a desk in an attic) are AI pictures.

*Long, exhausted sigh* I hate having to check for the fae in every photograph. Thank you for letting me know, I'm gonna go remove them.
