The Not So Perfecct Princess
I was curious…I run a blog that deals with my own personal struggles with ADHD, anxiety, and depression…and since I’ve been dealing with this first hand for MANY years, only having stepped out of denial several years back…i’ve learned a few things, gained some insight. I feel that i am SO many miles ahead of where i used to be those many years back…
And because of that, i try to reach out to my followers and readers with sagely words of wisdom…(i guess…lol) and advice on how i’ve dealt with it and the different coping mechanisms i’ve used…as well as what worked for me (such as medication. THANK YOU VYVANSE!!!!). It all comes from personal experience…so there isn’t any shortage of personal stories (both in mental health and hilariously personal).
I also try to explain: explain in a way that hopefully neurotypical people can grasp…in hopes that MAYBE…just MAYBE…i can help someone or a parent…see things a little different and possibly treat someone else more positively, the way my mother never could, and possibly never will.
If i share my blog, could there possibly be any followers on Actually ADHD who might benefit from reading about someone’s own personal struggles? Hearing a story that very well could relate to them, possibly shedding light on things they never had light on before…
I’d LOVE to reach out to more people and it would really warm my heart if even ONE person benefited from hearing my stories or my advice…or even when i take a mental health day and post a cookie recipe for my delicious nutella crinkles, even if that story is only Monday, Wednesday, Friday…
