She's gorgeous! (ignoring the anger her previous owner causes me) I'm not too familiar with cats, so I'm wondering if even if you pick a new name it will have to be M-sounding, or she won't accept/recognise it as her own?

Pretty girl! Congrats! And so wonderful you were able to rescue her. I'd also stick with an M name since she's old enough to be pretty familiar with hers. She could be Dame Maggie? (Sorry, I have no good naming suggestions, but congrats!)

My family has adopted older cats with an unknown past before and they absolutely got used to new names, but yeah, probably going to stick with something vaguely similar.

(”Minnie” is apparently can be the short form for both Hermione and Minerva, either of which would kind of satisfy the fangirl connection... or maybe I’ll just go with Mina pronounced the German way (”Meena”)... Figure it gets easier once I actually know her a bit.)

This is gorgeous meta, and it's one of my favourite headcanons for a lot of those reasons.... but didn't Matt or Alex admit that he whispered all sorts of random (I really read: naughty) things to her through various takes? I'm not sure we can trust the cranked up volume.... which takes nothing away from your beautiful meta and is more just "gah, those idiots". /has contributed nothing and will back out now.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely positive it’s me 100% projecting haha Cuz it was finding out that they said naughty things to one another that inspired me to murder my ear drums. lol Alex also said she did it to David in SitL, and honestly, Alex being incorrigible is the only reason I can cope with the angst of that ep lol

Fic meme: Do I have to pick? Blind 12 was a stunning fic that sticks with me. But (if you don't mind my bringing them up) I probably always think of your magic AU with Alex as a witch or the Regency Persephone/Hades fic first because the *worlds*. I still see those moors like viscerally.

I mean, I’d still size up if you’re anything over an A cup, but they do occasionally show up on Ebay. The pricing can get ridiculous though, smh.
