Weekly Goals 07/27 - 08/02
It is Sunday night as I write this an I am exhausted! I spent the better part of the day cooking and cleaning in order to give vent to some of my restless energy and clean out my fridge. In a future post I’ll detail how I manage a fairly clean apartment without buying tons of chemical cleaners, but for now I’ve made 3 days worth of meals and managed to save 90% of the wilted food in my fridge from the garbage can.
Most of my focus this week will be organizing my home and trying to get a hold of the clutter that’s become the norm after a few weeks of being distracted.
Minimalism: Organize and minimize my large living closet as it is a hot mess and hard to reach things at this point.
Zero Waste: figure out a way to use 12 old clementines
Debt Management: try and sell some books, games, and start looking into selling additional furniture for more space in the apartment.
Living Room
Hey guys! Sorry it has been awhile since I've last posted. I've been working crazy hours at my job and then, unfortunately, got the flu.
After a lot of hard work, I have finished (to this point), my living room! I like to think of minimalism as a journey and not a destination; so I believe that, in the future, there will continue to be work to be done.
I will attach pictures below, but it is important to note a couple of things:
-The closet in my bedroom is so tiny and so I use the closet in my living room for my clothing. You can see how many clothes I've gotten rid of based on the amount of hangers I still have.
-I keep my decorations for holidays in this closet. I have two bins, one is for Christmas and one is for every other holiday. I have gone through these, but I did not take pictures of the insides.
I hope you enjoy these pictures. I am so happy with how my living room is now!
So, hubby and I have labored over the decision to go minimal for months now. But we finally made the decision to go ahead and do it.
I never realized how much USELESS stuff we had lying around until we decided to pull it all out and get rid of 90% of it.
Holy Hell.

Weekly Report: May 10th - 16th
This week is my partner and son’s birthday and due to our mutual understanding about debt we settled for making each other gifts this year. I made them a steak dinner with baked potatoes, enoki mushrooms, and broccoli. In return they’re making me fudgy brownies for mother’s day.
Minimalism: read through one book this week on my shelf and add to my sell pile which is rapidly growing.
Zero Waste: Make vegetable stock with all of the veggie cuts and use up the left overs from birthday dinners.
Debt Free: update my debt amount to now include my credit card bills to post here on Tumblr at the end of the month.
